Idk if anyone mentioned it but I just realized that they're doing these videos in reverse order from when they created each channel. The most recent addition was Style Theory so Amy's video came first, followed by Santi's since Food Theory was the 3rd addition and now it's Lee's turn. Whoever came up with the release order idea for these videos is an absolute genius.

this could be true@@j-n1p3r but it is sports entertainment. and theories could be done on storylines, why wrestlers where certain attires, tricks/effects that they use, even some stuff on the games like rating systems or even storylines in some of the older games. there is plenty i feel they could draw from, and i think they would make for some enjoyable epesodes

The whole talk about Sequelitis. It is true. Arin did most if not all of his thinking in that series, but the Zelda one effectively killed the series. If you seen it, there are entire video essays about how wrong he was with that one, including but not limited to how things he suggested as fixes already being in the game, and misdirections in it being fault of him being incapable to sit down and read exposition for two seconds. It's some of his most respectable work, but it's probably half the reason of why he stopped doing it too.

I agree entirely. People will always focus on reasons something is wrong, especially when it gives them “proof” that their nostalgic memories are sound in telling them their favorite game is indeed perfect. Arin may have been mistaken about a few things in the game, but he was incredibly right about a lot of his points, and it shows in the way Nintendo responded with Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Arin does still have critiques for them, namely fast travel taking away from the classic Zelda push to explore, but that makes sense for who he is.

I just started learning how to edit a few days ago and stranger, SAME. It is so much to figure out. I’m trying to learn using Da Vinci Resolve. Do you mind if I ask what program you’re using?

It was awesome to see Lee's greatest hits and we only wish that him and Matpat had more time to revisit everything since Lee's pretty much the longest running member of Team Theorist out of all the four hosts who will be taking over. We are excitedly looking forward to seeing more of Lee in the Film Theory channel when the baton is officially passed on to him next month!

20:09 "Thanks Blizzard creative, darn you Blizzard legal" My entire frustration with bureaucracy (more specifically, copyright laws) in a nutshell (copyright was supposedly made to stimulate creation, but a lot of the time it just becomes an obstacle for creation overall). 27:33 "Hearing Reggie say the words I had written, how odd that was" I didn't even know Reggie was being "puppeteered" on that episode, but then again, maybe it was too naive to assume he had a part on that script himself (I loved the DeadLock format btw, so it made me sad to hear it had bad consequences - 33:26).

Somehow Lee and film theory have been here for some of the longest time yet I know the least about both. I honestly love Lee he's a great guy. I cant help but smile when he's in videos. But I know almost NOTHING about him XD. Same for film theory. I tend to watch that one less so I remember less of it. This video was very fun and useful for getting to know Lee better

I'm stoked for Lee! Hearing the corporate bureaucracy stuff is so fun! I'd love a bureaucracy theory! I'd probably be the only one to watch so it might not be the most viable channels. I think Deadlock would have worked better if it were animated characters and had guests voice acting. It's hard to not associate the argument with the person. It's the same reason that trivia hosts are perceived to be smarter by people even though they're literally just reading from a card. One day I'm gonna learn adobe premiere and after effects. I started with Sony Vegas back in the very earliest days of KZbin making REALLY bad RuneScape music videos during the unregistered hypercam era of KZbin. Messed around in Filmora 5 or 6 years ago and just learned Cyberlink PowerDirector. The Adobe's are next on my list. I also need to get better with Blender. I made a doughnut a long time ago but probably need to do it again! Finding time is hard and wanting to learn everything makes it even harder. =(

Video(s) Idea: so 4 years ago when the live action Avatar show was first announced Matpat made a “the Science of Waterbending” episode about how you could waterbend and talked about how each element is possible in real life, but he never made any follow up videos. Now the show’s out and Lee can make them, but instead of just making the rest Lee can make a “the Science of Earthbending” as earth comes right after water in the Avatar cycle. Then years later when Lee passes the channel to a new host they can tackle the science of Firebending. Then when they pass it on the next person can do Airbending completing the Film Theory Host Avatar Cycle [FTHAC if you will]

MatPat's leaving! So many emotions… but someone wrote a poem about it called “MatPats Goodbye” see below 🔻 Thirteen years of childhoods destroyed, When you go In our hearts there will be a void. Weather its dryer cooking or QSR crimes We’ll always remember the good times. I learned new things every time you spoke, Like the fact that you drink way too much diet coke. And when Christmas comes I will always be Reminded of the man who tried to eat his Christmas tree. The theory channels just won't be the same Without you’r weird thoughts on food, films and games. I know the running joke on the internet has been that Film Theory is the most overlooked theory channel, but as somebody who doesn't play a lot of videogames and consumes media mostly through TV and movies, Film Theory has always been my favorite channel ❤. It's sad to see MatPat leave, but I'm exited to see what Lee is going to bring to the table in this new era.
