I interpret this as someone who is tired and done with a relationship that became, or was mostly, if not completely, one-sided. I've always loved this song, and after ending a 13+ year friendship, I find it to be fitting for the situation. After being strung along for over a year that our friendship was fine, after asking multiple times if there was a problem, I was told everything was fine. I didn't believe it, but as an adult I shouldn't have to ask you 20 times to be honest about your feelings. After they unfriended me on social media and lied to me saying the platform did it its self, I had finally had enough and asked for an answer. After giving them time to think like they had asked, I was told we should take a break. After we hadn't talked for about a year. I brought up how it sounded like they were done with the friendship if they wanted to take a break after an already extensive period of silence, and how I had tried to fix things, but if they didn't put in equal effort there was no point in continuing. Then when I got angry with how they had lied to my face and strung me along, they said "I already apologized. I'm not doing it again." And said my anger was the exact reason they didn't want to do this. I had gotten angry because they lied to me several times and refused to be upfront about their problem with me. But I was essentially told "get over it." I was always the less emotional one while they were the one who pulled me into a separate room at a birthday party when we were 12 or so to cry and ask me something trivial. They were the one who had clung to me like we were dating and was rude to everyone who I befriended. Yes, there were romantic feelings on their side, no I didn't return them. I thought we had mutually understood and come to terms with this (more than several years ago.) I assume this was a part of the problem. The amount of emotional stress that relationship put on me was too much for a child my age to now. But now they're gone and over something so stupid as not being able to be upfront with whatever their problem was. 🤷♂️ Oh well! At least I have a song to relate it to. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk, I hope you enjoyed. Sorry for dumping.

Why does this sound like Twenty One Pilots to me? From the time signature to the drums to the depressingly beautiful piano (this really reminds me of Truce) to the even more depressing lyrics. I could actually see Tyler covering this the way he did with Cancer. The autotune checks out too. All your need is a real drumset sound and maybe a Tyler rap to top it off.

Yes, I am weak and guillible, I fall in love with my ex, because my ex lied about herself. It was so funny, I found out that she was lying about everything she said like a year after we were on relationship. But I can't just unlove her because of that. Then we were continue our relationship like two years after that, maybe I was so abusive to her. I was crying when I remember how I hurt her. Then one day, I decided to take a break with this relationship. I want to fix myself for her. I don't wanna be abusive to her. But, she just easily move on from me. Like it was nothing lol. And she has been already admiring another guy better than me. Well, sometimes I regret for being guillible, I shouldn't believe her at the very first time. And what so funny about it, I've already sacrificed my whole life to marry her, friends, dreams, and goals. I lost her, and I lost everything. But, until now, I still love her. Maybe, I'm an idiot. And she always wins against me.
