Got a tip for you: Swim out with a bucket sitting in a small bike or wheelbarrow inner-tube, so the bucket floats. Tie it to your waist with rope so you can swim. When you get to your spot, anchor the bucket with a dive weight on the end of the rope. Put the fish you catch in the bucket, out of the water, so that you're not swimming around with "shark-bait" (fish bag) attached to your waist. It has saved many a diver, especially up north (lot's of bities in FNQ), and the bucket also acts as a dive flag.

Bonjour What's happen if your motor breaks during the croosing? What are your securities procedures before starting and during the navigation. Because with no engine you can derive days and days far from coasts under the wind if you can't contact assitance even with no wind and flat sea. I guess you make necessary but people don't have to think that it is so simple to use a so little dinghy o, the sea. Happy new year

Hi there. We always have our marine UHF radio, a PLB and also our Garmin InReach so we have everything we need to contact assistance if need be. We also have oars. We are glad we can show how capable our inflatable catamaran is :)

Just a warning Chris as I spearfished for many years when I was younger. Be mindful that NOT using a buoy in favourer of a catch bag is inherently dangeroius with sharks. An injured fish is on your person rather than on a long line to a buoy. At least if the shark is drawn to the fish it gives you a chance to cut it free and move away while he's busy. Hope the fingers are ok.

I’ve noticed your still not wearing the kill switch cord while you’re travelling in the boat 🤷🏼‍♂️ . Why , its a safety procedure, it always pays to be on the safe side especially with Ange in her condition. It’s not hard to wear just put it around your wrist or clip it to your life jacket
@TheOutFit
@TheOutFit 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Wayne, Chris always attach it during our crossings at speed (you can actually see it at 3:44).

I’ve noticed that you guys are using it more and that you have taken on a lot of the things that people have commented on your operation is definitely become smother and safer. The time I wish I had the safety cord attached was just putting out from a beach back to my boat and something like my wife’s hat blowing off or something like that and I instinctually went to grab it with my tiller hand and the friction on steering had become loose and when I let go the motor torque turned full lock almost threw both myself and my wife out of the boat and it was an effort to get back to the tiller…. Scared the shit out of me used it ever since.
@TheOutFit
@TheOutFit 2 жыл бұрын
@@andrewgrant3470 One thing as well to note is that we are roughly a month ahead on KZbin so most of the comments giving advice, we didn't see them until later on when we actually got more experienced and figured some things out ourselves. But we took a lot of feedback on board :)
