Don't cut trees on main base islands because you need shade.....he says as you look at the large construction in the background that offers a lot of SHADE. :P

For shade, you only need a smoker, then stand the opposite side the sun is on, and crouch and that gives you shade from the sun. It also works with the tanning rack as well 🤘

@@joejoe4k it's a lot quicker to just crouch in front of your rack or smoker than crouch walk through the trees when you're obviously in shade but your watch says "high" 🤷 I don't build big shelters, just the basic one for saving, I like to use resources wisely 👍

You can get refined axes to respawn at 100% if when its low you make a plank station out of it then break it down. Never have to make a new one again!! :)

You should do a quick video to show people this :), it's game changing if you harvest for building. I have a traveling plank log crate, the only thing you loose is one log that you can't do anything but make sticks from.

U can use fibrous leaves in water still and grow potato, that means that u will never run out of food 🤔🤨🤯 Also u can use fibrous leaves and potato to make fuel, that is unlimited adventure

I was wondering about sharks cause i got so many mixed signals. some say they do some say they dont respawn. If you go to the map editor cartographer area it doesnt say place shark spawner when adding sharks to an island. So i always thought there was just a limited number on the island. Turns out they do in fact respawn! thanks for the confirmation now i just wonder what their timers are after death and how many are their per island...

They usually always respawns... Takes about 24 hours ingame :) but then they still have to swim to you so it can be like 25 or 26

I think the palm and pine saplings are two entirely different plants, the palm saplings definitely grow back and give you 1 fibrous leaf whereas the pine saplings give you wood (not sure if these grow back).

Does the shade actually work on computer? Or do you have to stand right up against a treetrunk to block the sun out? On ps4 you can be standing in a massive patch of shade but still have high uv. It's like leave don't stop the sun at all. Only solid objects and you have to butt right up against it. So if you don't have sunscreen you have to crouch behind a tree for 3 hours a day

Alright, this kinda pisses me off. Plants of all kinds should respawn. Also, I don't see why storms couldn't generate more wreckage mid-game like it did to the plane in the opening cutscene. I'm appalled at the terrible design decision behind that. Like, sure, small indie dev team, but at the very least they should've known that players would lose items, lose their boats, play for aesthetics, and drag the game out for much longer than necessary. Even with the storms not generating more wreckage, making it impossible for plants to regrow is awful. With the physics bugs present in the game, it's even worse. One of the key aspects of game design is protecting the players from themselves. What a major flaw in a game that's had so many players on so many platforms. It's the kind of move I'd expect from EA with a 'pay to get more wood' microtransaction system. I hope the game gets updated eventually to allow the option for more resource respawns. Until then, eff this game.

That is where me and you have a slight different look to the game... If everything respawns withing a day or 2 it wont be needed for you to go to different islands... And that is what the game is about, to explore, to get lost, see different types of ship wrecks, airplane crashes, fight the giant squid, eel, megalodon... Fixing the airplane to leave the islands and go home... Lets be honest having 2 water stills, and a ocean full of food you will just sit there and do nothing at all... I get what you say something should respawn yes 👌 but once you start traveling and collecting things from other islands you will notice how recourse full this game really is :)

Yes, I've done this just recently. Once you harvest the fibrous leaves from Yucca, inspect the remaining stalk. If you're lucky, you can pick quite a few from just one Yucca. The most I've received is 3 when I did that.

If anyone wants to know the secret to killing sharks there is none I just make a ton of wood spears throw em and then when I’m out I just chase the shark with a revined spear if you have atleast 1-2 bandages you should be able to do this daily

hey have you tried cutting just the tops of the palm trees off and leaving the trunk.. and seeing if the tops grow back. like they do in real life? in real life a tree doesnt regrow if you chop it down.. but if you chop its branches and leaves it regrows. not sure about the game i just got it free on epic games. i think you can climb it and swing your weapon on just the top of it. ill have to try it on the starter island. do you have a quick base set up video for starting to island hop ect. maybe 5 min max long lol. have it pre set up so you dont have to farm mats and set it up, just explain it. thanks. the tutorial in game was cool but i think it should have kept going till it has you jump to a new island to explore more like explaining to make sure you are well fed and water then you can go and come back if you can not sure.. lol. or do you always have to reset up water every island? i couldnt get my own wood raft to link up at the starter island so i quit might restart tomorrow or just start from there not sure.

Are you on console or pc? And to be honest... No they don't respawn... But... It has happened to me before that after a few days i ran past one or 2 again... But with all my hours i have played it only happened once maybe... But yea you will need to jump on your raft or yellow boat and go to another island

Crabs do respawn???? Since when? My islands do not respawn crabs. Also, young palms will never change to young pine trees - at least not on PS4. I doubt they do on PC for they are completely different species.

It is a possibility that they dont on console maybe, but i have eaten so much crab, have the same crabs every few days at the same spot so i can easily just kill them for food 👌

All land animals dont respawn

You have to go to an other island and then return to that one to get the animals to respawn :) :)

Thanks so much, the only few things we can plant is the yacca tree, potatoes, aloe, pipi, and such yellow fruit and a plant with purple at the top, forgot thr last 2 names haha, but what i am busy doing is planting potatoes in three differnter plots such as stick, plank and corrugated scrap, to see which one is the best in the long run 👌💪 video will probably be up in a few days :)

If your on console, then yea it is super buggy still, developers is trying to fix it, usually it does it if your boat is over loaded or your going from one island to another without goimg back home first... Hope this helps :)

J Kamisama if your on console! This is do to low rendering speed and bad frames on the game. Once you make it to a new island ( STAND FACING THE GROUND FOR 1 minute ) This will allow your game to render and load the island quickly while not managing you moving. Just take new islands slow. The game can’t handle you exploring 😂👏🏻

Each map is different, not all the players plays on the same map, they randomize

I have no idea if they spoil or not to be honest, i have also found out about them recently so i never actually experimented on them, all j do know is you cook them like meat before you eat them :) very funny because you actually stick a stick right through it lol
