This was by far the best episode. Chiellini was the last breed of old-school Italian defenders. He's intelligent, tough, but also charismatic and friendly off the pitch. He also has a degree in economics. Truly a gem and a role model for the younger generations.

Great episode. I loved seeing the love and respect Chiellini has for Roy. It was also fascinating to hear about 14-15 year old defenders being taught the grey arts of defending where you don't give away a foul / penalty but gain an advantage on the attacker. It is one of the key reasons why the Italians have always built great defenders.

Never ever thought I'd like Carragher but i think he's a fantastic lad he also knows more about football than any other pundit. Really enjoyed this show it was brilliant cheers guys

Quite possible the best interview I've ever seen. His football knowledge is off the charts. Truly played for the sport and so did the ones before him and the ones before them. Not many Italians play outside of Italy and I feel there is a culture over there that you almost get alienated as an Italian if you go to play for some of the other European champions from other countries.

Proper legend of the game. My greatest respect goes out to Chiellini for his consistency and class as a defender. And what I loved was he would do ANYTHING to win! England always needed a defender like him... he really talks a lot of sense about the England national team as well
