@@conor459 Yes I agree, was a little bemused to hear of his lack on interest in sports science too. I'd disagree that the squad looks any more or less fit than when he joined though. Fitness was not the issue for that spurs squad haha, far from it. There was an extreme incompetence in defence, many many times they had individual errors leading to goals when they were ahead. This led to their momentum crumbling around Xmas and after this occurred, the pressure was on and they folded, their weak mentality once again taking hold of their performances on the pitch.

I don’t think he said Jose had a lack of interest in sports science more that he expected players to be in the gym and they had sessions put on for them. Fascinating to hear Harry... his commitment to his craft, (trained for 3 months using only his left peg etc). His drive for perfection and learning which will only get better probably working with Pep. He will lead by example and will likely win a pile of medals. He brings more to a team than just a striker; leadership, goals, assists, knowledge and experience, having worked with a few decent managers already, winners mindset. He will be great in bringing on younger players too. I think any of big teams will be foolish to pass him up. I can see him going into management too once his playing days are over.

You always hear how good Jose is when you listen to players who work hard and are ready to be leaders... Not all this garbage that pundits push out every day. Great interview... Kane is humble, honest and professional.
@En1_13 жыл бұрын
Yeah but not everyone is like that. It’s his responsibility to make sure he wins the dressing room. He has to adapt which he hasn’t done well enough
@stvvbee3 жыл бұрын
@@En1_1 His responsibility is to win trophies... Every player hopefully should share same responsibilities. It is also duty of the players in the dressing rooms as highly paid professionals to adapt to the system and mentality that has been set up by the manager as a blueprint to winning trophies. Jose has demonstrated that several times that one or two players should not be more than the club. His failures have always come when and where one or two players believe they are influential and not ready to work but see themselves as above everyone else. Success comes with hardwork.

5:30 Very telling about Jose Mourinho. He does better with self-driven players. If you need a father figure or a shoulder to cry on, then Jose is not the one. He will simply cut you out of the team, and find somebody who is self-driven. LOL

Eh no At Chelsea, Jose often texted or called players, asking about their families. He knew a lot of personal details about their lives. even keeps in touch with some today, like drogba, Terry etc, and hugged all the players as he left. A great man manager back then, who fostered an us against the world mentality. A shoulder for them to cru on
