The reason athletes get so much money is because they heavily negotiated and unionized in the past. Same with actors. Studios and leagues definitely wanted to take the bulk of the money but they negotiated and pressured well because they do work that is required for studios and leagues to even make that much money. You could actually argue the same for every company, the people who do the work should be compensated as such, not the people who own the company. Just trying to explain that concept because you asked.
