What a lovely conversation! I appreciate the interspersion of performance clips throughout the interview rather than a block of talking followed by a block of concert segments. This is my first time visiting your channel, so I didn't know what to expect. Lemme just say, your interviewing style leaves room for the guest to think and provide insightful responses. Not to mention, you seem to put the interviewee at ease. Samara Joy has such a warm presence, and her voice is simply honey🍯. I was excited to learn Samara's singing inspirations are Ms.Vaughn and Ms.Fitzgerald! You can definitely hear their influence in her phrasing and tone. (I'm not familiar w/ Ms. McRae, so I'll have to give her a listen.) It's wonderful to see my generation take an interest in Jazz and keeping the genre alive!
