Toy focuses are a blast & extremely important! I've always been partial to Stormtroopers & Boba Fett. But it's not just about characters. For a time in the 90's while I was completing my loose & carded vintage collection, my focus became completely unfocused as I was purchasing everything PotF2. Not only was in expensive, a bit exhausting, & in the end, a terrible "investment" but it pulled me in so many directions that I eventually stopped collecting for 10+ years. I absolutely love Ahsoka! She's really grown on me & is probably one of my favorites now too. Great Anakin pick ups & I appreciate the heads up on the repro coin as well. Another fascinating and entertaining episode Joey. Thanks so much for all you do, always ready and eager to see more.

Great video Joey! In my collecting journey, I've met people who have had all sorts of different focuses to their collections. I'm no different with a focus on Obi-Wan. Although I don't try to get every single Obi-Wan figure ever made, my focus has gone from 3.75" figures to 12" Sideshow figures to prop replica lightsabers. My callsign in the USAF was "Obi-Wan" as well...probably the reason for my focus! 😁 Nice pickup on the Vintage Anakin. A lot of the figures I picked up as a kid were Mail-a-way figures. Fond memories!

Glad to see The Black Series starting to make more displayable boxes. The first ones were too plain. I opened and pitched those boxes. That Galaxy of Adventures line is pretty neat as it makes her look like she did in the Clone Wars cartoon. I kinda wish that I'd have gotten an original Anakin Skywalker figure back in the day. I didn't like the look of it back then, but it would be really cool to have one now. Now and then, I like to set up a display of figures that show the progression of a character or a group of characters. One I've set up a few years ago was Anakin from Episode 1, Episode 2, Darth Vade from Episode 4 and Darth from Episode 6 with the removeable helmet (not sure where I put him now). Looked really cool. Would be cool to do that again with an original Anakin Skywalker like the one you show here.

I think that would be an awesome collection and display idea! I don’t blame you for not collecting the anakin figure. It’s def not my favorite or aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Lucky you can find figures for under 30 for him still. But that coin! Ugh, I’m dreading having to shell out a lot of money for an authentic coin for both of them.

@@thepadawancollectorofficial Good to hear that original Anakin is still available at a low price. I usually don't go over $20 for a loose figure, but I might go as high as $30 for one of him if the paint is in decent shape. I don't think that he came with any accessories, so that'll help make it easier to find a good one at a good price. It's often the accessories that drive the price up on a figure. Yeah, I wish you well finding the coin for a low price. I guess a lot of kids didn't keep track of the coins and lost them, or weren't interested in them and gave them away or something. I didn't collect the first run of figures to come with coins back then. I wish I had now since they are so valuable today. I'm not sure why, but I quit buying figures a couple of years after Return of the Jedi came out. Didn't get back into buying new ones until the Power of the Force 2 sets came out and I was impressed by their improved screen accuracy and detail, especially the cool lightsabers and light-pipe featuring figures. Now, finding POTF 1 stuff isn't easy on a budget.

So glad you have a focus, especially Ashoka, and I will admit watching the Clone Wars years back she did annoy me, but as with everything you give it time to fit in and she become a force to reckon with by the end. I'm still on the fence, but hopefully her stand alone show will be cool...and don't forget to buy a Sideshow version of her too, every good focus has to have all the sizes! Just glad mine is Stormtroopers, nice and easy...but Fennec Shand has crept in as a sideline/character focus, really saved the Book of Boba Fett

Hi man, yeah 50 bucks for an Anakin sounds like a real good price right now. Mine is loose, but mint and possibly gradable, think I paid maybe around £25 for it in 2008. But the coins now going at crazy prices! 😳 I love Ashoka too, I got the Mandalore version MOC recently and have the Corvus one on pre order too! 👍🏼
