Thx for the great overview and explanation! When I coach beginners and low intermediates I actually start with the Gancho (not pushing it over the backhand shoulder, but more feeding it as a normal smash), as it is the easiest to get a fairly useful hang of for new players, and from there I move to the bandeja, Vibora and flat attacking smash. Works for my players :-)

Thank you sir! I finally understood the difference between Gancio and Rulo... I thought it was more a difference in position (rulo for left plauer gancio for right player) than a difference in technique

Great video Sandy, as always. But this one I'll share with a few friends. And by the way, I produced my first winning gancho yesterday. Low risk, high return, totally satisfying...... Especially when it's unexpected, opponents can easily be surprised and completely out of position.

Playing from the left side of the court my favourite would the rulo or bandeja. From the right side of the court my favourite would be the bandeja. I often feel pain in my shoulder if i want to hit a high attacking smash of any kind. Any tips on this?

Great video! I see some players hitting Viboras with side/backspin, while others hit it with side/topspin. Any thought on what the pros and cons of each one is? Should you use both? I guess the difference is mainly how low you let the ball drop before hitting, and what path your padel travel. Like the first expample in the video the guy starts with the racket very high, while the second expample starts with the padle very low well behind the head. The topspin version seems less risky but not as dangerous. Also, I found that most players often are hitting something inbetween a Bandeja and a Vibora, could you make a video on that? I find that not being so rigid on what is what in my head, makes it easier to play with feel and flow.

Great observations - yes a lot depends on the game situation, player skill and shot intention. We will take note for when we film future content! Thanks for the support 👍

Some times when Im playing to the right and getting a high and deep lob, then Im using something like a gancho, but hitting it more at around 1 oclock. Usally Im then around the baseline when hitting it

Im an fully Ambidextrous player, and I play without the safety rope, so I can change hands easily. How can I do that looking official with Padel rules ??? 😂 Please give me your opinion......
@gabrielme906211 ай бұрын
It must be fun with friends but theres no way to do this legally 😅its a fault playing without the strap and it is also dangerous if your racket slips
@beachabcd11 ай бұрын
@@gabrielme9062 my friend, I play 5 different racketsports, playing doubles the most. None of their rules have any restriction of that kind. On the contrary, the best highlights ever, are when you see players to act like Ambidextrous during the rally. That Padel rule, Its really dumb.
@gabrielme906211 ай бұрын
@@beachabcd Yeah I know it sounds dumb until you see a flying padel knocking your friend out 😂 specially with all the overheads and everyone being so close to each other

@@gabrielme9062 there are some beachracket sports, and the distance between players in doubles, are almost next to eachother. I play that kind of sports on the beach, in Summertime, for some decates now. If you want ill post a link to realise the power of shots, and the close distance between players.

Used the vibora in the game yesterday. Learned it by watching your videos. Made some nice points, with the ball staying low through the middle. Was pretty proud of myself. Don't get the change to practice the other overheads, since my buddies hardly use the lob...
