Sandy's positive transition from tennis to padel has really motivated me to continue to improve my game. Coming from 25+ years of tennis experience I find the most difficult challenge is the mentality. As much as there are many similarities between tennis and padel, there are equally just as much differences. Can't thank you enough for your valuable tips. Keep up the good work fellas!

Excellent Video as usual! Slowly building up to come to the net is an excellent strategy and tends to be very safe. I saw a video recently and Swen call it a "walking padel" when planning the shot to come to the net. I found it an excellent explanation and you are showing the same thing. Slow down with the chiquita, slow approach shot, and reach the net. No rushing is needed and you gain a lot of control

Great weather in UK, LOL. Thank you Sandy for the useful lesson on chiquita!

Haha! A very common misconception that it's only rain and debris in the UK!!

I have a question, if you do a chiquita from the back of the court, should you always come in? My thinking is, you are prone to a drop shot if you dont right? But similarly must be prepared for a lob if its not a fantastic chiquita?
@ThePadelSchool10 ай бұрын
depends how good the chiquita is!

@@ThePadelSchool if it's a fantastic one I'll probably just be admiring it from the back of the court instead of moving to net 🤣😅

Haha I've done that myself a few times too

Don’t come back too soon!! I’ve made that mistake before. Build up that stability!

Hey guys… just been playing tonight and it’s dawned on me that the high backhand volley for me is becoming an issue. I was playing right and hitting fence on the same side. After discussion it became apparent that this shot is also problematic for most intermediate players. You want to attack the head height ball but the natural axe hold doesn’t allow for a flat ball at that height. Would love to see a video on how the guys at your level deal with this? Please help 👍👍

This is difficult at every level!! And it’s why the pros aim there so frequently. This video might help explain it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/joauiqd8q8lspdk

@@ThePadelSchool ah that’s literally my problem. I’m playing on the right and hitting down the line into the grate. Cross court to the feet I think will solve this. I’m getting beaten on me near side and that eradicates the issue. I hope 😂. Thanks all. Will let you know how it goes tomorrow 👍👍
