Three questions 1. How long does it take you to paint a mini this size? 2. What brand bases do you like for this sized mini? 3. Do you have a preferred brush brand? I’ve been binge watching your stuff and I’ve learned a lot. Keep it up.

1: Depends on how much time you want to spend. A few hours. 2: I don't use a specific brand, but just whatever size and shape works best for the project. Most I get in bulk from Ebay. 3: Winsor & Newton Cotmans mostly.

This turned out great, loved the Nick Valentine character. Ive been building and saving miniatures on Hero Forge for a week now. It's addicting.

Is there a list or suggested collection of paints to obtain to get started? A kind of basic set that can cover most needs without requiring you to get the whole model color line?
@ThePaintingClinic5 жыл бұрын
A generic set would be one each of the rainbow colors, white, black, and a few different shades of brown.

Just curious what you used for the Gun. I didn't see that annotation, and I've been having issues getting a good black metal for my mini firearms.

Forgot because I did it over a few times. I think VMC German Grey with maybe VMC Cold Grey for the highlights.

hello do you use varnish ? if i paint minis for boardgames its better use varnish to seal paint or not .. can i damage paint if i will play with painted mini without varnish ?
@carlmang36435 жыл бұрын
If you are painting minis for board games or ttrpgs you should always varnish them. Without varnish, paint can easily chip or be rubbed off with use. Varnish usually comes in three types, Matte, Gloss, and Satin. Gloss and Matte finish as advertised and satin is somewhere in between. Keep in mind that Gloss varnish can brighten a minis colors and Matte can do the opposite, dulling the colors of your paint. Usually you will want to do several layers of varnish, and I have found that doing two layers of Satin or Gloss with a final layer of Matte looks the best on most minis. Sometimes, like on metals or glass gloss or stain will look best, just keep in mind what finish you are going for. You don’t need an airbrush to varnish your minis, painting on varnish works just fine with most varnishes. I recommend Liquitex varnishes as they are relatively inexpensive, come in much larger quantities than say Vallejo’s varnishes, and can be found at just about any Arts and Crafts store. If you need or want any more advice Miniac has a great video on varnishing. Hope this helps! kzbin.info/www/bejne/mna0kp9ni5Jqj80

as way of explanation on the colour of the suit, I recall at one point during my commerce undergrad an anecdote of a study where they found the colour Navy Blue to assure confidence and dependability, a trait that is looked for in your typical "businessman".
