Went into my local GW at the weekend. Never seen it as busy. Usual about 4 people, this time at least 20 people. This isn’t a gw in a city either, just an average midlands town one. Guy behind the counter said he’s had about 30 people come in looking to get into the hobby after playing the game. Just shows how effective the game has been

PvE Operations is where the long game is, levelling up all the classes and weapons, testing out the perks, 4 different difficulties, playing dress up...awesome, absolutely love it!! The Campaign feels really pedestrian by comparison.

If you knew how much of the base game was removed to over-monetize, you’d be angry. That’s not even talking about the three sizable dlc’s they’re trying to cut up too. Gamers deserve better.

@@caseyanders1601 I think what matters is if you're happy with it, i've been gaming since 1982, so I know whats good and I know what I like, and i'm very happy with the game, I simply dont want an endless drawn out campaign over 20 hours, the 10 hours the Campaign took me was perfect, since I picked it up on early release i've been absolutely hammering Operations and i'm no-where near done with it, havent even tried PvP once yet, so to me thats great value for money, I absolutely love the game, I enjoy playing it, and there is more to come. Where did you get this info about 3 sizeable DLCs? They have a roadmap that everyone knows about, im very happy with that, theyre also taking in everyones advice on changes, thats also really good. They also delayed release by a year to make sure the game was finished, so im not sure what else you were expecting or what all this stuff you're referring to is

I think the success of Space Marine 2 as a genuinely good game is evident in non 40K fans joining the franchise at this point and geneuinely having a great time and have stuck with it. I’ve got non-40K KZbinrs and Streamers in my feed still playing it because it’s a genuinely fun game and the class based PvE offers a great gameplay loop.

So the Ultramarine Captain in the Phobos armour is the character from that Phobos boxed set. Thats why they looked the same. Although they made the model for any chapter. If you can find the lore you'll find him as that named Character from the game.

As far as I'm aware the new kill team rules are free but you have to buy one of the new kill teams to get an unlock code for the rules. Great news that the starter set I've just bought is going to be redundant in a year, I enjoyed painting the krieg death corps and I m currently in the process of building the kammandos

Playing through SM2, I think the critiques here are solid. I imagine there's more play variety in the co-op mode, if you're playing with other people, but yes, one player it's pretty limited.

The menus for Space Marine 2 would question it being "made for consoles" even if the gameplay does fit better haha

How about.... instead of 2 boxes of marines, scouts or mandrakes which make up a tiny faction of your army get an infinity army box and have change. The rules, app and missions are all available for the bargain price of FREE and the game is far more balanced and less about the list building phase, additionally a full game (300pts) is easily concluded within 2 hours.

It’s good but it could be better. A simple health regen system based on kills/executions would solve a lot and make us feel like a space marine. I’m tired of being out of ammo and health. Rolling away from everything isn’t very space marine-esque either.

38:40 using the gamepad is easier than you might think. I remember my first time watching my brother play Halo on his XBox and I thought it was ridiculous - coz I couldn’t do it - he could though. I was trained on Unreal Tournament and a mouse and keyboard! Then when I got my PS4 and was forced to adopt the DualShock controls with Destiny - it _was_ hard AF and I didn’t think I would _ever_ get it - I still have my original footage (thanks to the PS4 screen recording) of how horrible I was. But after just a few days, maybe a week or two - I was adept _enough_ and jumping off freakin walls running around in 3D space and getting head shots whilst doing it.
