Hi Pascal, Thanks for your efforts! It is really helpful. I feel some contradiction though regarding the 125/110 debate. If you say that the perfect double-push with 125mm was challenging even for you with custom shoes, I feel that for many it would be easier to master the technique with a much lower deck height. I can see quite some mates struggling with not perfectly fitting shoes on 125s. Rollathlon was my first ever real race and I decided lately to go with a hi-lo frame (3x110-100), and I couldn't have been happier 😀

Balázs Tüdős yes si i don’t see the contradiction? I mean it’s nice to go back on 110 ... not always faster choice ... but for some race it can be...

@@ThePascalbriand Sorry, probably I wasn't clear enough. My comment is mainly regarding beginners. As such I have also tried to start with a 125 compatible frame on a not very rigid boot, then I switched to my current setup...

Great video, merci Pascal. I had a question about the soft wheels. I found that I am faster on a worn Matter F2 than an F1. I figured the worn wheels make it easier to hold a centre edge and have a good glide, or more contact area, not sure (might be imagining it :)). How hard are the wheels you race and train with ? Thanks. J'espere te voir a Montreal en Septembre (je n'ai pas l'habitude de faire des accents...)

I should be more specific- what hardness wheel would you use for a marathon on dry, flat asphalt ? Thx

stan jones normally I like to use f2 to get more pressure ... but it also cost a bit more of energy ... so you need to be in shape... and able to generate and use pressure easily
