Cool video. It was cool to see you get a run in. We also got a shorter tun in late Friday night. Just had to make the best. The road trip with your pops is the real prize.

Thanks Joe. The conditions after the storm passed were beautiful. We did not go into Damascus, which was hit harder. The tree crews locked us out from just 2-3 miles away from our cars and were not going to listen to us. I get that this is in poor taste to do, but after driving 10 hours and being stuck in a hotel with no power there was nothing left to do.

@@BouncingSoles I've ran the entire course a few times. In my humble opinion, you saw the best part of it. I was hoping for a PR this year. Oh well.

Thank you for the video! This was my first attempt at a 100miler and felt gutted when they canceled it. I was in Damascus early Friday and once I saw the town I was pretty sure it wouldn’t happen. I was too bummed to try and run so we booked it back home! Appreciate see the trail and the beauty of it!

Thanks for the kind words. Part of the intention of the video was to show the status of the trail and they made the right decision to cancel the race.

Did you seriously run past workers who were telling you to stop? What were you thinking? The part of the trail you ran on was CLOSED. You even bragged to 2 other Yeti’s that you ran around workers. What the hell.
@BouncingSolesАй бұрын
No, they were the ones that told us there were workers ahead. We were on the trail before any workers had closed it, thus blocking us from returning to our cars/hotels. There was also no signs the trail was closed. Even at the trailhead it was still open when we got back, which you can see in the video.
@allisonsmith3889Ай бұрын
@@BouncingSoles it was still closed. The fact that you had to climb over trees and stuff means it was compromised. There doesn’t need to be a sign for everyone to know it was closed and dangerous. And no, they didn’t tell you about the workers because they were in Abingdon and didn’t SEE the workers as they didn’t try to run on the closed trail. The beginning of your video shows the blockade at trestle 1. 🤦🏻♀️
@travisandsarahault2895Ай бұрын
@@allisonsmith3889why are you here? Only way to know if the trail is closed, is if there is signage. Not to mention Jason Green said they were going to be out there clearing the trail Friday, so there is a reasonable belief there wouldn’t be trees down. Just relax

@@travisandsarahault2895 I think Patrick knows how Jason feels about this. Be better.

@@allisonsmith3889 Next time, I'll just go home and cry when something doesn't go my way. It's a run; tons of people were on the trail that day, including locals. I am literally talking to a couple in the video.
