Vetoing it is whatever. Vetoing it because of a madden rating is nuts
@dylanhawthorne4842Ай бұрын
@ there is 0 chance that happened. When it got reported immediately after firing Woodys reason was 1. Because of the draft picks being given up and 2. Because of the fact Juedy wanted a new contract around $20 mil a year and woody didn’t want to pay him that. Both reasons were right. But now months later they throw in this BS madden thing like that’s the reason. It’s absurd
@thestormofwarАй бұрын
@@dylanhawthorne4842 To be honest, it makes perfect sense. You can't honestly believe that the Jets, being as awful a franchise as they are for as long as they have and making all the decisions they have, that the issues do not start at the top.
@dylanhawthorne4842Ай бұрын
@ I believe that Woody has made terrible hires and then lets people stay in their job for a year after it’s obvious they should be fired. Gase and McCaggnan were atrocious hires and they got an extra year after it was more than obvious they should’ve been fired. Gase should never have been hired. But then it happened again with Douglas and Saleh. They should’ve been fired 2 years before they were. You could even go back to the Rex era and make the same argument but I think at least that regime was the right hire at the time. To try to spin it like Woody alone was making these decisions the last couple years is insane. They were collective moves that literally everyone including the fanbase agreed with and supported. It’s not until things started to go wrong that the story started to turn and Douglas attempted to distance himself. Douglas made so many poor decisions this offseason all by himself like the Reddick trade, JFM trade, signing Kinlaw and other poor DLineman, signing Tyron Smith, etc. those were not Woody mandates and the fan base liked most of the moves other than JFM. People are looking for a scapegoat for their outrage and I’m not saying people shouldn’t be upset. But I do believe people are being emotional and illogical and allowing themselves to get rage baited by BS articles full of anonymous sources who won’t put their name to the leaks because they know it’s sensationalized BS.
