One of the talking heads was talking about the 0-30 trailing in the 4th stat, that Purdy broke the streak for in the GB game. Well they couldn't even admit he had that game winning drive, they moved the goal posts on him again and said "i want to see him come back from double digits." What the hell does this kid have to do to earn some respect? The narrative is getting stale when all he does is keep winning and putting up numbers the way he does. Pretty much leads the league in any meaningful QB stat you can pull up.

The casuals try to discredit Purdy because of how strong his supporting cast is with Shanahan, CMC, Kittle etc. Let's not forget the #3 pick in the 2021 draft, Trey Lance, had the EXACT same cast and had nowhere near the stats that BCP, the LAST pick in the 2022 draft is producing. Not to mention BCB is only 24 and hasn't played 2 full seasons yet. Dude is a baller.

Tom Brady in his first couple of years had the exact same play style as Purdy. Manage the game and let his top 3 defense do their thing. The slander was warranted when he was in the MVP convos, but not that’s he’s far out, it’s clear a lot of media members have a vendetta against him for not being as physically gifted as other QBs and still being able to succeed in this league.

To me, Purdy is above average, on a steady incline to become fn great. He’s still learning, he literally has an amazing cast around him, both offensively & defensively. He also has a coach that adapts to his players rather than the players adapting to the coach’s system. Purdy is in the perfect spot for success. Now, I’d say we should be giving more credit to the guys around him cause they’re all studs as well. I think Purdy will be great when he can show that he can perform & put up similar numbers when he doesn’t have the same guys around him. But to SF credit, they scouted & drafted most of these guys, they put together a solid ass team. Even with the trades they got…it’s unbelievable.

the problem is we've put to much emphasis on qbs. He just plays well, he plans well, he doesnt need to put it all on his shoulders, there is a whole team of guys besides the qb, its a shame we give the qbs so much credit and criticism, he's very poised and plays a team game, y'all are haters, its not fun to watch these super athletic qbs always trying to do this and that, remember the best qb ever is Brady not mahomet, Lamar, Vick, Watson, etc, classical players of the game will always be better over time
