The Super Bowl was a fantastic game. Felt like San Fran outplayed KC all game but KC got all the game shifting plays. McCaffery fumble on opening drive, Greenlaw Achilles, Punt off the foot to TD, 3&Out after Mahomes pick, and Chris Jones moving Purdy off the spot on a couple possible TD throws. San Fran didn't capitalize and KC took it.

I don't understand how Schefter can say 15 mins before he went on air and said Zimmer was hired, the word was Zimmer's contract wasn't done. So, why go on the air and say that Zimmer was hired. Now, he's trying to act like it's no big deal and he "amends" his report. But why report it in the first place? The contract hadn't been signed yet. Regardless of whether he asked Ryan if he wanted to say anything about it or not. And I don't remember hearing Adam say that it hasn't been signed yet in his report.

Purdy played good (not great) and wasn't able to get a TD. The WR threw their only TD. The Chiefs defense is something else. They wanted to force Purdy to throw the ball, and it was successful. Impressive defense on both sides of the field. I think they should keep Purdy. He's very good overall, he stayed composed, and he's still young. The criticism on him is fair, but the hate is silly. Mahomes is a living legend.
@Madmotodad9 ай бұрын
He had a td to Jauan Jennings.
@riprogerssmokeyjohnson59129 ай бұрын
The only reason people hate on Purdy is because people like Pat tried anointing him as an MVP and elite QB. He’s not he’s very good but he’s not at that level (yet). I don’t know why it’s so hard to say Purdy is good but he’s not on the same level as Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, burrow, Herbert, stafford. It’s not hate to say this.
@riprogerssmokeyjohnson59129 ай бұрын

I went to the Waste Management Open this weekend. Failure was 100% on PGA and the people who run the WMPO. They eventually stopped checking wristbands and just went to IDs because wristband people were messing up, they’d scan tickets from previous days because the weather was so bad, then on Saturday they just stopped scanning tickets to let people in. Concessions and EVERYTHING are toward the front. They usually have enough facilities and concessions, this time absolutely not unless you’re looking for a pretzel. Rain also made the ground awful so everyone was crammed towards the front instead of out and around the course.

Part of the problem I have with people complaining about the Niners taking the ball first in OT. Is that when you say I want the ball second so that way I know what I have to do? What's your saying in essence is I expect to give up points. I expected of a field goal I expect to give up a touchdown. I think it'll be easier for me to score more points than i give up as opposed to. I think I can go out there score and then stop them. It speaks a lot about where the mentality of the league is that people always think about having to score instead of thinking about having to stop the other team from scoring. But especially in this game if you're the 49ers. You've scored touchdowns twice on the Kansas City Chiefs and they've only managed to score touchdown on you once at the start of overtime. So why wouldn't you say to yourself? Let's go down there and score touchdown like we've been able to do multiple times in this game and then stop them from scoring a touchdown like we've been able to do multiple times in this game? I don't see this as some kind of failure by shanahan, some kind of laughs and strategic judgment. I just see it as a football team that didn't do what they were supposed to do.
@ThePachomdq9 ай бұрын
If the 49ers really trust their defence the better option was give the ball to the chiefs, get them off the field and the you put their defence in a lot of pressure because you win with a fg
@joshuacordero3479 ай бұрын
The Niners defense had just been on the field, their offense was rested. The fact is the Niners decision to receive the kick in overtime had nothing to do with their loss. Their inability to score touchdown and their inability to stop the Chiefs from scoring a touchdown was the reason they lost. It wouldn't have mattered if they had kicked the ball off to the Chiefs because they gave up a touchdown and when they had the ball they were unable to score a touchdown. Second guessing Shanahan and making it seem like he had some kind of error in judgment is ignoring the bottom line that they didn't get the job done on the field.
