I found out the problem was me; not the pedal! I was playing my progression with my guitar turned down to a level I was use to playing in my small music room. After watching video's on KZbin and re-reading the manual, I decided to try turning my guitar volume all the way up and my amp down. This worked fine. The TRIO+ works just as it should. It wasn't getting a strong enough signal from the guitar. Now it works flawlessly every time and man do I love it! I'm now working on adding loops and on my timing. Great training and practicing tool. I also like that you can turn down (or up) the volume levels of the drums, bass, and the loop too low levels. Now I can even play late at night without bothering the wife and son. I just returned a BOSS CR3 and a BeatBuddy Mini2 to trying to get the same type of features, but they didn't do want I wanted. So I took a chance on the TRIO+. So glad I did! And to anyone having the same problems I was having, it can be easily fixed by making sure the volume on your guitar is turned all the way up, then adjust your amp to listening levels. Thanks for your response. Your video taught me a lot about the TRIO.

Hey Pedal Guy!...simple and to the point huh! Nice way to show how to use the “send & return” feature of the Trio+..👍🏾🎛🤔✨🎸 Concerning the looper section,..like I’ve mentioned before in another video,..I found that to balance mix in your loops,..it’s best to use the level control “layer in” each loop voice as how or what level you with that part/loop to playback. Lowering volume on the instrument makes the unit strained to get the tone desired and harder to judge the levels in my experiences trying that process. Deciding the level of the looper to which part in the mix prior to recording helps give you (& the unit🎛) a better idea of how the “final mix” of the looped parts will sound. Balance is the key to a more satisfying loop and assures better mix level for Drums & Bass. Getting this just right takes trial & error tho’ naturally! As you may know,..you can’t clear ALL the loops done..unless that’s your intent but you’ll be back to a “Square One” if you do! (☝🏾You can only erase the last loop done or all of it altogether!🙁) Just about any instrument can be plugged into the Trio+ and be recorded to make some cool sounding tunes! Get good at it ,..and start a challenge to covering some songs/hits and use ‘em live!!..I do!!..🎸🎶✨🎛👍🏾😎

So it’s first on your board? And your guitar goes into it then the send fx goes into the next pedal and then the very last pedal goes back to return of the fx. And so then my amp goes into the side of the pedal ? I don’t use a mixer so nothing goes in that outlet but the amp goes into the other outlet above it? Sorry just trying to figure things out before I decide to buy it as I want to be able to put it on my pedalboard and then be able to use it during live performances.. also can I take an mp3 of a backing track of my own original song and put it on the SD card and use that in the background while I’m playing it live so I can play some lead and stuff? @ThePedalGuy4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question. It's a little confusing as to where you would place this, as it's a vocal pedal and not a guitar pedal. If you simply wanted to add it into the fx loop so it could be recorded into a loop, you would use the FX loop. I wouldn't recommend using the guitar input as the TRIO would have trouble building a part around the harmony effect. Hope that helps.
@thommyc25674 жыл бұрын
The Pedal Guy thanks for the reply, the reason for wanting both is because the trio uses the clean guitar to listen and learn, and the TC helicon H1 uses the clean guitar as well to “learn” the key of the song.

If you want one of your pedals to be applied to a loop that you create with the Trio, then you need to use the FX loop on the Trio pedal. I'm kinda having the same issue. I was originally just going to run my delay and chorus into the fx loop of the amp but now that I have the trio and it has it's own fx loop I'm not exactly sure what to do.. Originally i was thinking Les paul > noise gate > wah > distortion > overdrive > front of amp And run chorus > delay in the amps fx loop. Any advice is very much appreciated.

Not sure what you mean. I have shown how to do this several times on my channel. Have a look through the content.

What's the best connection method when using a Trio+ with a Boss GT-1 Effects Processor? I current have it so that guitar goes to GT-1 then GT-1 to Trio+ then Amp and Mixer Out to Roland JC-22 (to give amp and band their own speaker). Thanks

Ideally, you would plug your guitar into the GTR input on the TRIO. The FX send of the TRIO to the GT-1 input. The Left (mono) output of the GT-1 to the TRIO FX return. That's it.

@@ThePedalGuy Thanks Pedal Guy :) I forgot to say I have it GT-1 to Trio+ so that I can use the FX Send on Trio+ as a way of connecting a second amp to the Trio+ so that I can have a wet/dry (or clean/dirty) amp arrangement; the JC-22 simply won't do distortion by itself as it's too capable so I sometimes use a low-watt VOX amp to add a hint of distortion. I suppose I could just use the FX send from my JC-22 to achieve the same thing. Either way, I'll give it a go the way you suggest :)

From what I understand it only listens to one bar and so only creates one looping bar, that's not really for me, I cant think of anything more boring than continuously playing along to one bar of a bass guitar and drum looping continuously, unless it can also sequence the changes in the key you are playing. I have seen quite a few different reviews of this pedal and no one has had anything more than a continuously looping bar playing.
