@@nqobilendlovu5190 This is exactly what I mean, everything you are saying is twisted. 1. Mzilikazi was never Zulu, he was a Ndwandwe. He turned on the Ndwandwe after they killed his father. He is the one who helped Shaka defeat Zwide's armies that were led by Soshangane and Zwangendaba (baNgoni founder). Shaka was too weak for the Ndwandwe. After he and Shaka chased away the Ndwandwe armies, they seperated. Mzilikazi settled momentarily in Northen KZN. Shaka knew not to challenge him, and when he did, because his council convinced him to not let Mzilikazi grow his armies, Mzilikazi defeated the Zulu, and then left Natal for Transvaal. After Shaka's death, Mzilikazi would defeat the Zulu again when Dingane challenged him. 2. Mzilikazi fled to Zimbabwe from Transvaal not Natal. He fled from the Boers, not the Zulus.

When was Shaka Zulu ever defeated? There's not a single person on this whole planet that has ever defeated Shaka Zulu ever. If Shaka Zulu was defeated then the Zulu people would feel defeated because their king and Creator would be a defeated one. I'm Zulu and I don't feel defeated at all in fact I feel victorious every day. Therefore it must be a lie that someone defeated my king Shaka Zulu because then I would also feel defeated yet I don't feel defeated. So the ones who say that Shaka Zulu was defeated at some point must be delusional because they believe what doesn't exist exists and what exists doesn't exist. Therefore those people must not be real people because if they were real then they would know what is real and what is not. So the question is do you believe unreal fake people or do you believe the real one; do you believe yourself because you are the real one? It is up to you what you choose to believe and who you choose to believe.

There were always borders in Africa or at least Southern Africa. As certain tribes/kingdoms owned certain parts/areas ( I mean your cattle couldn't graze on a different tribes land without permission) There was peace to an extent however some kings wanted to conquer other nations and take their land, cattle and probably women. Just like in Europe to become the biggest/greatest tribe/nation. However they were also united by language and culture and just in in Europe to keep peace king would marry the sisters of other kings. Eg the current Zulu and (Southern) Ndebele King's mothers are both the sisters of the current Swati King (ie Princesses) thus creating an atmosphere for peace and unity to thrive. (PS I could be wrong or slightly off with certain statements)
@lekis59754 күн бұрын
@Zwai We definitely had borders, and visitors had to announce their arrivals lest they be mistaken for invaders or spies. However, those in distress would be taken in and given sanctuary, and later absorbed into the society, in return they were expected to be loyal and contribute to the society. King Moshoeshoe I welcomed the Ndebele who were on the move due to the Mfecane, he allowed them to graze his cattle on his land, but they ended up embroiled in a skirmish when the Ndebele outstayed their welcome. As the Ndebele fled, Moshoeshoe sent some of his men with cattle to bid them farewell, to show them that there was no bad faith! uBuNtu.

@@t.mblock8658 I know Shaka used to send the warriors on excursions. I think there was an understanding that different groups would try each other, raid each others cattle to test if the warriors of the other group were alert. You snooze, you lose (cattle are raided). Cattle raids aside, it made sense for a leader to try and grow his people, the larger the population the stronger the group. Shaka for the large part expanded using tact and diplomacy, although he was embroiled in some skirmishes. King Zwide (AmaNdwandwe) killed King Dingiswayo (Mthethwas), and King Mashobane (Khumalos). Shaka considered Mxilikazinto be his surrogate father, and Mashobane was Mzilikazi's father (and Zwide's son in law). After Shaka and Mzilikazi avenged their fathers deaths, the Mthethwas for the large part willingly submitted themselves to Zulu clan, although some moved Northward. Likewise some AmaNdwandwe submitted to Shaka, whilst others moved to Mozambique with Soshangane, whilst others headed North with Zwangendaba, with some dropping off in modern day Malawi, some in Zambia before settling in Southern Tanzania (yes there are Ngonis in these countries). The Mkhizes (who are originally AmaMpondomise) were impressed and came to Shaka and pledged allegiance, the Celes also came out of their own volition. Mzilikazi (Khumalos) wanted a kingdom to call his own so he left and ended up in modern day Zimbabwe (Matebelelend). Some of the Khumalos/Mntungwa opted to stay with King Shaka. King Shaka approached Madikizela of the Ngutyanas (uMam Winnie's great great grandfather), but Madikizela decided to cast his lot with King Faku of the AmaMpondo- he simply offered his sister's hand in marriage to King Faku. When King Shaka heard what Madikizela had done, he realized that he (Madikizela) had chosen King Faku over him. King Shaka knew better than to mess with King Faku, because the AmaMpondo had a fierce reputation as warriors. So as you can see, there was no mindless fighting, different groups decided to amalgate with the AmaZulu because there are s strength in numbers and King Shaka had a great reputation as a leader. Others wanted to have a kingdom of their own, so they gathered up their followers and left. For the large part the different groups got along and intermarried, even the royals intermarried. AbaThembu King Ngubegcuka Vusani's great wife was *Princess Nonesi* (King Faku's daughter, her brothers were King Ndamase (Qawukeni) and King Mqikhela (e-Nyandeni); AbaThembu King Mthikrakra's great wife, was the AmaMpondomise *Princess Notasi* (King Myeki's daughter, her brother was King Matiwane's); Gcaleka King Sarhilisi's great wife, was the AbaThembu *Princess Nohuthe* (King Ngubegcuka's daughter, her brother was King Mthikrakra, her son was King Sigcawu). AbaThembu King Ngagelizwe Qeya's great wife was Princess Novili of the Gcalekas. AmamPondomise King Mhlontlo married one of King Sarhilisi's daughters. In a nutshell, the royal families were in laws, some of the Kings were first cousins. Things got interesting when King Ngagelizwe (AbaThembu) upset King Sarhili (Gcaleka) and then the elders refused to support him to fight King Sarhili arguing that it was better Ngagelizwe apologies instead of going to war with the in lawsn(some of them had married Gcaleka women, others their daughters were married to Gcaleka men, heck Ngangelizwes aunt was Sarhilisi's great wife, and Sarhilis daughter was Ngangelizwe's great wife). In modern times it seems like it became de rigeur to marry into the Swati royal family (King Sobhuza' s children and King Mswati's siblings;vaQueen Mantfombi, King Zwelithinis great wife was Swathi; Princess Zenani Mandela married Prince Muzi; ; the late Queen Mothers of Eastern and Western Mpondoland were King Mswati's nieces, I believe another niece is married to the Ndebele Royal family. Interesting stuff
