For last 60 years i tried reading about u.s history and specialty about founding fathers. It started on 1965 when I wrote a letter to united states embassy in Tehran to send me some books for our High school library . Whin two months I received 52 books published as wheel of the History containing the biography of most us presidents and hero’s of the various wars. I started reading these fascinating book until coming to United states in1969. I continued reading more books to gain knowledge about this young country but never got enough of it. KZbin gave me the opportunity to learn more of these fascinating men. Alexander Hamilton was of of the founding fathers which i didn’t know very much about. Thanks for this beautiful video. @@user-yp9fb1jb6mIt could be argued that Alexander Hamilton is the father of modern day Capitalism, the one & only economic system that hasn’t ended up in deaths of hundreds of millions of people. So although they may not have been the best ideas, they certainly weren’t the worst. It could also be argued that without the financial systems he put in place, America would not have prospered & become the superpower it has. & that’s coming from a Brit. You’re welcome

There is no other country or government like it. In all of history, no country has achieved what the United States has accomplished, yet there are people out there whose sole purpose and demeanor is to bring this country to its knees, and if possible, put an end to our liberties, and way of life. No system of government has ever been 100% perfect, but no country even comes close to a second place, in providing for its citizens, and ensuring life, liberty, and a pursuit of happiness.

The 2008 HBO TV Series 'John Adams' was a marvellous historical dramaticisation that covers Hamilton very well towards the end. It shows him grasp the necessities of nationhood, perhaps better than any of his peers. He was the rational centralist who argued against a devolved vision. He was a major constitutional and economic architect. He was the one who gave government finances a firm foundation. A great man, the rock on which a young USA set down its roots. Sadly brought down by his flaws, he deserves to be better known. Thank you for this, I found it very helpful.

@Foundry_made Hamilton fought in 7 major battles, was a key member of Washington's staff and was a commander of light infantry. He lobbied for then attended the Constitutional Convention in 1787 and helped to persuade a skeptical public to ratify the Constitution by launching and writing the majority of The Federalist Papers. He was a self-taught economist who was appointed by Washington to be the first Secretary of the Treasury in 1789. America's war debt was crushing and, by the time he retired in 1795, America was fiscally sound and poised to become a major financial power. Hamilton argued for a diverse economy, pointing out that manufacturing and commerce, along with America's current mostly agrarian society, were integral parts of a modern economy. He was the chief architect of the American financial system. Pretty impressive for an immigrant from such humble means.

Heroes always collect enemies and they come from all possible sources. They envy the winners and hate them at the same time. I see AH as a man living a heroic life and when you follow his rise from what seemed like cold ashes he was having none of that and his superb success soon followed, meanwhile, throughout the dangerous choices he made, like involving himself in many wars, both foreign and at home, he somehow escaped those treacherous situations--and few men would be able to survive those same death-defying escapes--he also made fools of more than one formable enemy. I greatly honor the man for his talents and the many influential things he did for America.

But he was true to the ideals of this country. He does not receive enough credit for what he, as a major driving force, helped to create. Who else has a crush on Hamilton, even though he’s been dead for a couple of centuries? He’s absolutely one of the most amazing men in all world history, and definitely the most amazing man in all of US history. He had the worst upbringing imaginable, he couldn’t even escape a natural disaster kicking his a** as he almost died in a hurricane that left him homeless and without any possessions or memory of his mother. He had not one thing going for him growing up apart from his incredible brain: ie his super high IQ, fearlessness, sky high ambition, uncommon confidence and determination & tenacity, natural charisma presence and charm, professional oratory and writing skills, speech and debate mastery, logical reasoning skills and photographic memory, allegedly very handsome face, tall height for the time, and perhaps most importantly: an iron strong will to live that one only experiences if you’ve escaped death by the skin of your teeth . I 100% believe there was major divine intervention that had him born at that specific time in history, and allowed him to survive against almost guaranteed death given the horrendous circumstances of his early life, and he was chosen by God for a very specific purpose in life. And maybe not so ironically, after that life purpose was accomplished and he stopped writing and was essentially just a sad recluse,even though he was still young and healthy, he died. As if God was saying good job faithful servant, you can rest now free from your misery; come home now and be with your son for eternity. You couldn’t write a better story. Thank you Hamilton for leaving us this great country. I’m sorry we’re so ungrateful and have perverted your vision for the country so radically. Anyways, vote conservative. Trump/Ramaswamy 2024 🇺🇸❤️

I believe Hamilton was and to this day, very much under rated on so many levels. As a statesman, as a founder, a diplomat, and as a patriot. But if it wasn't for the musical Hamilton, it seems 90%of today's youth in America wouldn't even know who he is. And 75% adults ( from gen X to gen z) couldn't tell you what exactly he did, because history isn't very well taught. It is a shame. Being a Gen X, I had to teach myself and read about history because public school just glosses over, or just teach political messages. Which makes me personally sad.

Excellent summation of this most important figure in not just American history, but the worlds. Just imagine how advanced our society would be if we spent time reading Plutarch and Machiavelli instead of Dr Seuss and Archie when we were young. Though the criteria of who is considered a founding father is mixed in mythos and never-ending constructed categories of importance, Alexander Hamilton stands alone. We've all grown quite used to the term "Hamiltonian or Jeffersonian" in determining where we ourselves stand when it comes to the key tenants of what we like to believe in a modern advanced civilization, are most important. For we are either for the State or the Individual. We support law and order or anarchy. We are loyal to the nation or we rebel against it. We understand that liberty is a privilege, or our god-given right. One cannot be both a Patriot and Traitor. If we do not support the integral welfare of our nation, we are against it. Hamilton knew how to rule alright and is most deserving of his ever rising reputation that this people's profile have brought forth with more than enough convincing evidence.

Not my favorite Founding Father, he made the central bank, was a Federalist who wanted a strong central government, didn't believe in States rights and he argued against the 2nd Amendment arguing the people didn't need guns.

The militia needed guns. Jefferson avoided military service during the Revolution. He was Governors during the most serious British invasion of Virginua. An unprepared militia lacking personal arms one of the problems Jefferson was accused of cowardice because of his wartime governorship. The matter was dropped after Yorktown but TJ was always haunted by the matter

The idea of perpetual debt, as Hamilton conceived, served the US well, until budget-consciousness vanished. Ever since World War Two, elected officials only accuse their oppositions of squandering, while everyone of them is guilty for not taking responsibility for a national debt of $31,000,000,000 plus. The debt was a mere one third that amount only 23 years ago. So, no small thanks to Alexander Hamilton, but enjoy the last greatest days of the US Empire now, before the final economic crash sends us back to the dark ages.

You’ve forgotten what all has transpired in the last 23 yrs, right? 911 and an economic crisis, two horrific wars all put on the Chinese credit card until President Obama included it in the budget, the economic crisis of 2008, still fighting Bush’s wars, Trump and his $7T tax cut. Other than that though, you might, might have some sort of a point.

Hamilton was indeed one of our greatest founders. His loyalty and intellect were significant contributors to our government we enjoy today. Only political opponent’s damaged his reputation. Did he have faults, yes, of course as did all the others. He opposed slavery from the very beginning and established the banking system that exists to this day.

It's something of a travesty , to not include Hamiltons portrait on a Monetary Denominational Bill . Same as how little acclaim history has bestowed him ! I support Hamilton’s Federalist views… strong central government. Confused saying Hamilton was “Shelved” to go on US Currency. Hamilton was on the 1861/1862 $5 Greenbacks and since 1928, was always on the $10 Federal Reserve Note. HE WAS NOT born in USA nor his father or mother US Citizens so he could never run for VP or president. A very interesting person.
@Wheelchairtravelchannel

I thought the same thing about non-native born unable to become VP or Pres. but article 2 of the Constitution would have allowed Hamilton to become president. It stated that naturalized US citizens at the time of the acceptance of the U.S. Constitution even if not born in the US could be president. "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."

Representation without taxation is impossible for any system of government for sustaining itself. Taxation without representation is what the colonies rebelled against England, before the proverbial Great Britain. The use of those federal taxes should be closely scrutinized for usage and accountability. With it, the American financial income due to taxation, is the most sound on the world scale.

Some of the “transitional”pictures and videos, however, take the viewer OUT of the time by showing things that are inconsistent with that time.
