Yep, as others have said, the scene in the bar is NOT a nod to "TOP GUN", but to the Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker spoof-movie "AIRPLANE!" (which parodies 70s disaster movies like "Airport" and the older "Zero Hour" (1957). The scene itself also mocks "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER".
