The date was changed by the Romans to integrate their heathen beliefs on the local population, who celebrated a heathen winter celebration. So of the two of us, you're the one continuing to celebrate the birth of your so-called god on the wrong date, and on a heathen day of celebration at that. I, at least, wish people something more general to encompass all people's belief structures.

I've loved Sara Evans' country-pop version for many years, and now the Petersens LIVE version, featuring Ellen's strong vocals, and solo breaks from each of banjo, fiddle, and dobro, plus a bass feature, have made a modern classic for many years' enjoyment to come.
