What a wonderful surprise to see Sean’s smiling face back at the convent. It’s so nice when the gang is together. Love that we’ve gotten to know all the talented people in the Pethrick universe..We used to call this cross-pollinating. Everyone has benefited from helping each other, referring to each other’s channels,sharing materials…it’s lovely. And phil’s back too. I’m glad he’s doing better and he knows that everyone has been concerned. Couple of years from now, you’ll all need new projects 😂.

YES! I've been looking forward to seeing the grand staircase worked on and revealed for a long time. This place is really coming along and I've been so inspired and have been learning much about restoration and sympathetic renovation through this massive project. So many things I would never have thought about in taking care of such a beautiful and historic building.

Billy, when I watch you and your team take down the walls and I see the old timbers, I can't help but think of the men who built the convent. The enormous amount of hard work they did, getting the wood and cutting it and building the walls and floors, etc, I wonder who they were, what they looked like and what their lives would have been like. It's all so interesting.

Another great week Billy, many hands make light work and in the case of all that insane flooring, it was definitely needed. I’m also so glad KZbin has made the convent nominally profitable during its “healing” phase, because it wouldn’t probably be possible to save this old building without it. It would have had to be another bodge job without KZbin helping pay before it could be put back in production. Well done.

This area around Fougeres has typical architecture, stone quarries, slates, carpentry with oak/chesnut, the craftsmen that built Mont Saint Michel. The last decades inside this couvent have been decadence. Finally, a competent team has come.
