Hi Billy, you remind me of my grandpa, he was also a man of vision & work to create his passions with buildings & especially gardens, into reality. He told me once, "it's easy to buy something, but it takes passion to maintain it". He'd done that till his last breath. I understand the feeling that smtimes things happen during the work of maintaining such a vast properties et all., such as your machine in today's vlog. Been there, done that too. All will be better. Billy the large round planters could have a tree planted in them and you could build a bench around them with a higher raised area for drinks every quarter of the bench if you use the Convent for a hostel /hotel or summer events in the garden .

I think those universal joints are normal; they are supposed to be quite flexible, and are only stiff when brand new. Some 'rotational' slop would be more concerning and, if bad enough to make noise, would expell a rusty powder. If the mating shaft bearing is bad, it would weaken it's seal and leak lubricant. I hope you find the problem quickly--and without too much more cost. Thanks again for returning to the 'dailies.'

I love seeing your Dad in videos with you. I guess because I miss my Dad and he was a hard worker as well. I bet he loves spending time with you doing all the restoration work. It's a good thing you are like your Dad and can get things done and work so hard as well. It really is amazing what you get done each day. Billy. I know you weren't really interested. But in the future someone else might appreciate a small area for herbs for kitchen use. Mainly just the most used herbs in an area they would have quick access to. Fresh grown herbs and seasonings are the best!!

Billy be careful when switching driveshafts they are phased with the pump and engine as a whole unit. Do not turn either end when reassembling.

The big musculls on Steve!!! He's some man to go, as we'd say here in West Wicklow (yes, I spelled it wrongly deliberately) 😂 The Telehandler issue sounds like the release bearing is gone in the gearbox. When the rattle goes away when you engage the clutch, is a pretty sure sign of it. Again, hopefully you got it sorted with that part. I end up commenting as I'm watching, so I could be wrong 😂😊

So my husband and I stayed at a wonderful little hotel in Lille, France that was owned by a French chef. There were beautiful hotel rooms upstairs and the chef had his kitchen and restaurant downstairs. Perhaps this could be the future for your wonderful convent?
