Yup, went a 2nd time to Medellin in March, decided I’m moving out there, digital nomad style, renting out my condo. Can’t wait, should have started doing this about 4 years ago, then again CoVid shook a lot. Glad I can do this now but don’t completely fall in love with Colombia, check out other neighboring countries that have easier immigration laws . Colombia is changing , bureaucracy for foreigners is tougher and the new presidency has brought heavy tax burdens for foreigners. Feminism has spread there but it is what I call feminist light, it’s tolerable. The culture overwhelmingly wins regardless but I’d try to find someone more traditional, you will find the elite women there are more on the liberal, feminist side for sure. But, it is tolerable like I said.

I went to Medellín for a month back in March and I can tell you've been there too. Many of the people in the comments haven't been or maybe went for a week, plus they don't speak spanish. Yes, feminism is there new culture and many of the woman are trying to live a "go with the flow" lifestyle and not commit to a relationship. This is what I was told by several of the Paisa woman. My opinion is similar to yours, it is a very "light" version of what we have in the States. Since they're not familiar with our U.S. culture that much, they don't realize that their version of Feminism is "light" compared to ours, so it is very tolerable fo us. The worst part about Medellín is that most of those men are only sex tourists. They are just going to Parque Lleras to find prostitutes. I respect what Phil is doing here, but I'd never refer to myself as a Passport Bro/King because of the sheer number of Sex Tourists men I saw there. Phil doesn't seem to be one of the people that's actually visited Medellín. Phil does mention that he doesn't support trickin, but I don't think he realizes how often it happens in Colombia. Despite that, I'm very close to moving to Medellín myself, but definitely not for Sex Tourism. Medellín has much more to offer than just women, but having a beautiful honest women by your side will enhance every experience you have while in that country. I have lived in Medellin for 10 years. I am leaving because of how many foreigners are coming. If I felt a majority of BM were coming here to find a relationship that would be great. But an overwhelming number are coming as sex tourists. I have met a few BM who have made a sincere effort to learn the language, which is required here for the legitimate women to take him seriously. They go to Poblado (maybe Laureles) which is where most of the English speaking visitors go, look and dress like foreigners and end up getting taken advantage of by the locals. If they were truly serious they would learn the language, immerse themselves in the culture and come to live here, not just visit for a week.
