Andy is a person MANY photographers should listen to and take note. I have been saying it for years, that pro gear can help but it is not what counts, it is the person behind the camera. I see soooo many people with the money and buy all the top pro gear to look good and gloat BUT their images are just above looking like an ameteur took them. Be one with your subject, be at eye level with your subject and one point Andy didn't mention but I will, ALWAYS get the glint in their eyes. If you don't, then you'll get what is called "dead eyes". Well done on this video Andy and your honesty in it as well, very good mate.

Dead right. I've had some fabulous gear over the decades, and some cheap stuff that was good enough. Both produced similar images in my hands. Unfortunately, they were, and still are, mostly lousy images.

I am in love with my 70-200 but worked for years with just a 50 and an 85. Lots of great tip reminders - especially #10, I need to practice that more for sure. Thanks!

Great video... My primary lens for outdoor action shots is the 70-200mm on a full frame camera. However, when shooting in a studio type setting, I use the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 on a Sony APSC camera. This lightweight combination facilitates shooting with one hand while offering a treat with the other hand. The Sony Animal Eye-AF and a hand strap is a great help also... Most of my shooting has been for Maltese Rescue California and for that I shoot mostly portraits rather than action shots...

Which camera will be best for beginner for pet photography (cats) budget friendly? What’s suit better crop or full frame?Thank you 😊
@ThePhotographerAcademy
@ThePhotographerAcademy Жыл бұрын
That’s a hard question to answer as it all depends on budget. If your just getting started don’t be afraid of second hand. Crop frame is ok as it allows you to get closer with a standard lens, prime or zoom. Sorry we can’t be specific for you, but your local camera shop will also be your best friend

Can I start with the canon 18-35mm lense or is it not enough? I have it already on my canon 750d?

Start with whatever you have and build from there. As someone who's been into photography and videography for over a decade, I can tell you that no matter what new gear you buy, you'll always find something else you want next lol.

What are your camera settings to get these sharp pictures?
@AlwaysEeepy
@AlwaysEeepy 3 жыл бұрын
Settings vary depending on your photo... But for a moving object you wanna have a fast shutter and depends on how much of your subject you want to have in focus so you would need I higher number or lower number on your apeture.

Then there’s me with my dog doing it on my own 😂 he don’t care about treats I just want to take more interesting photos instead of the same ones he does well at sitting and staying but anything else comes out blurry and I don’t have an expensive camera but I don’t have a cheap camera and with all my settings that I’m able to control are on right but still come out blurry when I take movement pics 😭
