But if the plane totally malfunction there's not really much they can do other that to try their best to get the plane back in control. Usually when planes crash it's not the pilots fault. It's the plane that is broken somehow.

lake fire My first flight was in the infamous Douglas DC-10. That was right around the time (80's) when the DC-10 had a bad reputation for having the engines fall off in mid flight. When the plane taxied to the gate in Salt Lake City Utah, my brother said he was watching and commented on how bad a shape that plane looked pulling up. But I'm glad I got to fly in a DC-10. Poor old plane.. it wasn't her fault! :) I wish I had the pleasure of flying in a B747. That's my favorite airline jet!

The majority of my flights from Oceania to Europe and return were on Boeing flights. I always felt in safe hands in the 747's over the years and more recently in the 777's. Boeing has the higher ground when it comes to superior design and safety. Remember their designers and engineers were building the long range bombers for the European Theatre of war in World War Two. Today we are fortunate to have highly experienced Captains and First Officers with many hours of flight experience under all weather conditions. Just go to KLM Asia landing in extremely adverse conditions "IMPRESSIVE".

@triethylborane777f79 жыл бұрын
andyouf It is a tablet that contains airport, route, checklists (the plane "computer" has check lists too). This all used to be in paper manuals, which was great for a different era but is now becoming antiquated. Jeppesen still produces paper manuals for several airlines like United, Im pretty sure. I use a tablet . . . way better than fumbling through a thousand pages of tissue paper (very thin paper) only to find that the departure you need is missing, pages torn, or that the page in the manual has an earlier effective date than what you can use, but the current page is not there . . . it is all assembled by humans. No app that can control the plane . . . yet.

I believe this is the V10 SIKOU of VHHH so its climb to 5000ft intial and with speed restriction of 220 kias unil waypoint RAMEN, the 250 knot rule does apply but at times planes are given no speed restriction after the right hand turn at PORPA.
