We work alot with hammer fists/blows in Krav Maga, and this added to my perspective. Very good stuff! Love your whole channel btw

+THE PIT Online Dojo well i don't know if you had it covered allready, but i'm very curious how you would handle dangerous standing chokes, like getting caught in a full on rear naked choke while being lifted. Its awesome that you ask your viewers this!

Do you guys use ridge hand strikes in hawaiian kempo?

I know them... but I don't use or teach them. Do you, and if so why, or if not why not?

For work reasons I have not trained in years. But I did use them a long time ago in point karate tournaments. In one particular tournament I hit my opponent in the face the technic and he was out cold, now it was point karate so I was obviously not supposed to go to face unless it was with a kick so I got disqualified. I always did notice when hitting the bag with a ridge hand that I generates a decent amount of power when making contact with your forearm. I was just wondering if it was a technique that is still being used or forgotten in the old school. Thanks for the quick response John.

THE PIT Online Dojo here's a combo I've always always liked I learned it in Kung Fu San Soo and American Kenpo it's called the Figure 8 combo let me know if you like it it involves the side hammer or outside Mr blow that you're teaching that you would do after the hook that you mentioned well instead of missing the hook I would throw the reverse punch the hook then come back with the hammer blow and then throw another reverse punch to finish off in a straight line again what do you think
