It makes me happy to hear Vick say that when he had zero dollars and first got out T.I wired him money instantly. And acknowledged that he had the support from the community in Atlanta. I grew up in Atlanta and I just started middle school when Vick got drafted, he was our idol...no exaggeration. He was what Deion Sanders was to our parents. To this day Vick is still 1 of the most beloved people in Atlanta. What Allen Iverson is to Philadelphia, Vick is to Atlanta . My mom told me of I got all A's she'd buy me a Vick jersey...I got all A's. We love you Mike Vick, you were the best.

@@kwesijohnson It’s fine that he’s free, he did his time (not enough in my opinion). However I don’t see why he should continue to thrive based on the crimes he committed. How do we glorify someone who tortured and unalived helpless animals? If you wanna say he paid his debt to society, that’s fine. But getting a second chance to play in the NFL (which is a privilege, not a right) should have never happened. He deserves to be forgotten, not honored at every opportunity. How? How are you the greatest when you don’t have then wins ( only 2 playoff wins), don’t have the accolades, ( 0 All-Pro, never finished near the MVP race), and you don’t have the stats ( even if you add passing and rushing, he never had a season of 4,000 yards, 3 seasons of over 709 yards rushing, and only one season with over total 25 touchdowns. Usually you need to have atleast 1 or 2 of the 3 ( wins, accolades, stats). Vick had none. He’s extremely popular but it’s the Hall of Fame not the Hall of very Good

People think that some of these new age quarterbacks can 'run,' and then they see Vick clips of him taking off and outrunning defensive backs and they back off on their definition of a 'running' quarterback. Michael just had a different gear, and he had a laser gun for an arm to boot. A VERY RARE TALENT. Ive never seen anyone quite like him.

I was a Mike Vick fan as a first year teacher at Ferguson High School. I was of course a huge fan of his throughout his time at Warwick and Virginia Tech. But I was even more impressed with the man that he developed into and the way that he accepted his responsibilities and showed the world that he is not only a singular football talent, but a transcendent HUMAN BEING!! Very proud of him and his entire family for enduring so much negativity with so much class. A true redemption story (for those who demonized him) and a great exemplar for those of us who never stopped rooting and praying for our native son.
