Ha! Most kiwis don't know half of it! I am a migrant so I know a bit about her "reform" of NZ immigration. Apparently they wanted to "optimize" costs so they closed a bunch of smaller visa centers around the world and opened a single massive one somewhere in SE Asia. As a result of this "optimization" the costs per application actually went UP (what a surprise), but worse than that - the process times for visas dramatically increased. The consequence of that was that the international students could not come to the country and NZ higher education collapsed with 50 to 70%(!) layoffs in major NZ universities! Did you know that? Now you know!

I had two grandparents pass away during the lockdowns. Her government prevented us from visiting both of them (no one knew what rules to follow) and I can hand on heart say that without human contact, they were lonely, isolated and scared. Totally agree on everything you said. As one of those on the lawn of parliament I saw first hand what a totally hideous tyrannical nutcase she really was and so did the thousands standing with me. I will always be thankful that i went to wellington because it enabled me to meet the most beautiful emphathetic good to the bone people. The generosity of the free food, clothing wet weather gear and anything else they thought we needed came from wide and far it truly was incredible.
