Concussion & other associated Brain damage would be caused by the Brain hitting the inside of the Skull not the actual hit of the outside of the skull. The hit to the skull stops/slows the skull from moving in the original direction but with the brain being encased/floating in fluid, the Brain itself continues to move in the same direction hitting the inside of the skull. It is a bit like putting a raw egg on a flat surface, giving it a spin, stopping it briefly with a finger but upon lifting the finger off the egg begins to spin again. The padding of a helmet may slow down the impact a wee bit but insignificantly whilst there are even NFL Players who wear the metal helmets who also suffer from concussion etc.

Absolute disgraceful act by TJ. In front of millions watching around the world he espoused personal views that are not supported by the whole of Māori let alone the whole of New Zealand. In the early years of the 1900’s All Blacks teams toured South Africa without Māori players because of apartheid. 1981 Mourie excused himself from the All Blacks as a statement against apartheid. 1995 Josh Kronfeld made a statement on field wearing an anti-nuclear logo on his helmet. Members of the team also stood against LGBTQ and Israel Falau statement. Change the flag, remember that? All political actions by representatives of the All Blacks. After many years, and here we are, we still have an All Blacks team. Were these excellent players labelled (as @sallyblack3779 would say) “Whanker, Whuck whitt Putting our All Blacks in shame”.

Perenara has been an outed extremist for some time and I am sure had it been half way through his AB's career his activistic antics would have been well hidden. Sadly in his last game he took the piss out of his team, the management, the fans and frankly New Zealand. He forgets that his sport, the All Blacks and what they do and stand for are not his nor any one elses personal political platform. Good bye TJP your contribution to the AB's was adequate and your contribution to New Zealand will be forgetten. The old fashioned way of doing things: when overseas representing New Zealand, you do not bag your own country. TJ became political in Turin at the home of Juventus - what a spectacular own goal. 40k fans should have been enthralled, but what was served up was ordinary, and disjointed. The haka and posing with a divisive flag issue highlights they're not united as a team. Is Scott Robertson up to the task? Apologies are owed to Ian Foster, he took a not great team to the final of a World Cup, whereas this team struggle to do simple tasks. A little less grandstanding and more practise in how to play the game is what should be mandated, oh, and keep your mouths shut unless talking about the game being of two halves and the better team won on the day.
