Hi Alexander, do you think, you can right jump into the game, when you played Nevsky and went through the short "differences chapter" in the rules? Thank you!

What about the solo mode? Has anyone tried it out?

Zilla Blitz came up with an interesting way to handle the cards (Nevsky), when you play solo. As far as I know, there is no real solo mode. You play both sides.

Levies army aren't quite peasant army. Well part of levies were in fact peasant for sure. But it was also professionnal soldiers of some lords. There aren't feudal armies too. Muslim provinces in Spain aren't based around feudalism (specific to christian). In Almoravid you've got El Cid Campeador... who fought on both side besides being the feud of spanish and not moorish lords. To make things even more complicated Reconquistad saw many "volontureed troops" in both armies. Many christians european lords sent troops to help the christians. And faithfull muslims from North Africa arrived too to help muslim lords. You've said Spanish vs Moorish. It's the term used by chronicles of the era. But.... they're wrong. It's more likely christians forces agains muslim forces. And to add confusion to all this some muslim forces were fighting on christian side at some point and christians fought alongside muslim force. Well they were spanish troops... but in the game there's also burgundian troops on the christian side. And moorish... they were there. But they're just two leaders on the muslim side. The others are "spanish" muslims living in Spain at the time. The central man of the game is Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar better known as El Cid Campeador (the very same from Racine play or the Charlton Heston role in the movie El Cid). It's a spanish christian lord who were playing both side against the middle at the best of his own interest (things both the play and the movie don't really pictured in fact). Quite a very complicated period of history (much more blurry than those of Nevsky)

Went with Nevsky over this one despite Nevsky's godawful box cover. This looks much better but honestly...the added layer of politics doesn't draw me in and the setting too doesn't speak to me. I am however looking forward to the next iterations Henry and Plantagenet.

"Manipulated" is all you needed there, as in, the game system is easily manipulated...
