Saw this game made your top 10 games of 2018, came back to watch this super vid, along with Marco's, and bought the game. Thanks for the great video, I can't over state how much of a benefit it is to the community (especially for myself) to have this kind of great information at hand when interested in possibly buying a game! Thank You! 👍👍

Great video, fun game! One correction; at 3:20 it is stated "you have to do a full round" of combat before retreating, but that isn't what the rules say. Section 5.5 Retreats says: "Units can retreat (instead of firing) in any Combat Round." Also at around 21:45, it is stated that Marines need to spend PP to move across water. This is not the case, as Marines (both US and Japan) can move Operationally as Naval units. The only time they cost PP to move is when they use Strat Move or when they conduct Sea Invasions.

I have a lot of Columbia Games war games and think that Pacific Victory is their best one.

Great video. I really enjoyed how you covered so many aspects briefly enough. Thank you so much !

If this was a Kickstarter (and I checked...they made plenty over the goal), why didn't they print some player aids? That is rather annoying now that I think of it. But that aside, I'm buying this. I caved. It looks fun (that's the main thing) and even though putting stickers on blocks looks tedious, I'd wager it's better than clipping 400 counters. Plus, I just love naval warfare. Dang you guys....you got me.

I haven't browsed through all of your videos but have you reviewed many block games, specifically the Eastfront/Westfront/Medfront/Eurofront series?

Great review guys. This was one of your best efforts yet. I agree with player aids would be nice on board or a card sheet. I detest the stuff in last page or two of rule book or as you showed on back of the rulebook. just comes across as cheap. "historiocity"?? love it! :)

Can you compare this game and 1940 Pacific Axis&Allies?

I see why he's beating you - Check at time marker 30:00 - he said 3 dice needing 2 or less - he rolls three dice with one hit but said it's two hits. :D Always audit your opponents roles. Everyone.

Hey Guys: I gotta tell ya... I was on the "fence" about this game. I'm NOT your average naval game guy, BUT, that being said...it appears that Columbia demystified all those ships moving about and such. I can see where it would be great fun to play... I'll move it to my BUY list.

Two Gits and a Game seems more suited to what unfolds.

This is not a thoughtful or critical review. Instead, it is an extended out of the box PR exercise courtesy of two Gits and a game.
