I have played this game several times. Here is why I like it. 1. You can finish a game in 2 hours. 2. You can easily teach it to non-wargamers. 3. The Allies do not know which scenario card the German player has chosen which makes this game endlessly re-playable. 4. As the German player, you actually have a chance to cross the Meuse. 5. The mechanics are simple. 6. The step system means you don't have to have big stacks of units. 7. It captures the flavor of the overall battle. Germans start with a bang but every effing turn more US units keep showing up and they quickly start forming blocks at the key road junctions.

Another great video review, you guys are tremendous! I really like Worthington games, they're games you can pick off a shelf on the spur of the moment and play. Low rules overhead, fun and challenging, great physical game components. First rate game company!

Thanks guys, game is almost at my doorstop. Regardless of my comment I am excited to play the game and appreciated your thoughts. Words are hard and I don’t have an easy way to offer feedback. When you say, nice “little” system, it comes off like its beneath you. The connotation is small and insignificant. I’m sure you don’t mean that, but its not really a complement. I believe I know what you really meant, just wish it was said instead.

I would love to see this kind of system used on a strategic level. Where you could play a campaign in a few days to a week.

@@ThePlayersAid I own that one too. I would love to see this system used to simulate an Eastern front operational game from 41-45. Or even a European theater operational game from 43 to 45, Like Fall of the Third Reich.

Great review thank you. I'm torn between getting this one or the the recent Revolution Games The Deadly Woods which has a chit pull system, probably longer to play and a little more complex. Any comments appreciated.

Deadly woods is a bit more detailed and complex, and therefore a little longer. I've not played it but it uses Ted's "Dark" system, which I can attest is excellent.

Don't suppose the 55,000 Brits and Canadians who fought at the Bulge get a mention in the game?
@ThePlayersAid

Brits get a shout. Canadians not sure, probably lumped in as Commonwealth with Brits.

Was disappointed that the Germans can win on turn 1. Attack Cervaux over run and off to Holland.
