When I first saw how the block of wood looked in the bottom of the resin, I didn't think I'd like it. However, when your turned it until the corners were curved up on the bottom, and then it became the wood center on the inside - I definitely became a fan. I continue to enjoy your work, and the music is fine.

@PohlBarnProductions5 жыл бұрын
it was fun and a good way to use up left over pieces of wood, I have made may in different ways, they sell fast, the wood in the bottom of this one was because the resin I was using was for counter tops and didn't harden as well as other brands and would warp while turning. wrong resin I know but I was first starting out and that is what I could find at the time. Thanks for watching.

I was new to turning, filming and editing when I produced this video, I really hadn't intended on the world watching anything I was doing. LOL family at best, I hadn't intended on talking either, I probably should have, the resin I used in this project isn't intended for this purpose and doesn't cure hard enough for turning, yes you can do it but it warps and make it difficult to keep true, if you decide to try this get a resin designed for this purpose, I now use Alumilie slow set(that need a pressure pot) and or resin4art (found this one is good all around with or without pressure but it is pricey)and there are other out there, but this makes life so much easier, good luck with your turning, I'm glad you liked the video.

Thank you, If you're here in the States, Harbor Freight sells that pot fairly cheap and if you find the 20% off coupon they have every week or so that will help, I modified it to work for my needs. The resin is the pricey part ! oh wait I missed the UK part, sorry
