Very nice Doug! I always end up taking too much off with a carbide bit. I've also noticed with time all resin I've turned seems to get more brittle. Again still turned out nice.

I think it looks great. Especially with the light. The only thing that might have helped it look more a tree is if you had a sharpened the top a bit. But as it is, it's still beautiful.

A better tree shape would be a series of triangles stacked. So the underside of each 'ring' is horizontal, with the top being tilted, if that makes sense.
