This was a lovely interview, so organic and unrehearsed. It reminds me of conversations you'd have at the kitchen table over cups of tea. I love listening to Nigella talk about food, so filled with love and comfort.

This is what makes this woman so extraordinary. Unlike any other woman of her stature, she possesses a historic intelligence and embraces her past, instead of pushing a cookware product line that nobody needs or wants.

What a beautiful and classy lady she is. I never tire of her narrative and memories linked to food - I find it so comforting. I watch her cookery series all the time and they act as my comfort blanket. Thanks Nigella x

Thank you so much for this video. I love Nigella so much. She has become a part of my life that equates comfort, and I am sure my daughter would feel the same as we often take time to watch her old cooking shows as our time together.

There have been times when I was skeptical of her recipes, but what makes me come back over and over is how she makes food seem so much more than just sustenance; it is such an integral thread in the fabric of our existence, and she captures the simple majesty with her eloquence. At My Table is perhaps my favourite of all her shows and books.

Nice clip. She comes across as sincere. She's not an in-your-face kind of person and I think the quieter, one-to-one interview with another woman format suits her. She has a lovely deep, textured voice too.

Nigella, you are such an inspiration to me on a regular basis, you taught me most I know about food and balancing flavours, dozens of your recipes are now the part of my regular repertoire. But what I admire the most about you is how strong and resilient you have been in face of personal loss - your beloved sister, you mother, your dear husband John. If I could ever cook with you, or for you, it would be a dream come true!

What I’ve always loved about Nigella’s work is the running thread of food as communication and sharing. Not just the sharing of recipes but of memories, histories, cultures and philosophies, the main philosophy being one of having permission to eat food that suits. I think she single handedly liberated a generation from the 80s starvation diet mentality.

Assuming she knows Italian rather well, would she have read Pellegrino Artusi's (1820 - 1911) cookbook "La scienza in cucina e l'arte di mangiar bene" (1891) that was Escoffier's role model?

Nigella is a lovely, genuine woman, but look at a newspaper article about her and her mother (Vanessa Salmon) and you'll see that her childhood was not a happy one. Her mother's disapproval of her and eating disorder featured heavily. Sadly, judging by what I've read Nigella hasn't got over that. I'd love to meet her.
