eeeh, it's a bit more complicated. let's sum it up for those who don't know about it. In the lore, Eru (also known as the God god) originately shaped the world, from music, as a thing that roughly looked like a boomerang on a pizza. But then tomfoolery ensued, he was forcefully woken up from his eternal nap, twice actually, and went on to think : "What if The Ball". And so he made the world off of half the remaining continent, added somemore land that doesn't get any screen time and doesn't appear on the map for most of it, made all of that a perfect sphere, and created an elf-accessed wormhole in the sea towards heaven, which is still flat but now located in the ninth dimension.

@vdate4 ай бұрын
Look. LOOK. Working out the time-bandit thread of responsibility for the whole Char thing is a cluaterfuck of legendary proportions - consider that after having stolen Farsight to make Char, future versions of themselves proceeded to go back and steal the concept from their past selves. (And don't fet me started on the whole Prince Heinel thing showing some signs of even earlier heists triggering that one.) My point is, tracing THAT chain of achronoacquisitive causality would make the timeline look like the Hapsburg family tree, and down that road madness lies.

I hate to admit it, as a huge fan of Battletech, but mech piloting feudal nobility with only a loose understanding of their technology dependent on a religious technocult to maintain critical infrastructure of their warmaking is awfully similar to the Imperial Knights. Literally in the same space of tabletop wargaming too. Perhaps this time based perfidy is why they can be so much cheaper with their models and keep their rules so much more stable over time? But this does expose a weakness in the time bandit conspiracy. After all, these time bandits steal from each other! For example, the "author" of A Canticle for Leibowitz, obviously ripped off Comstar, who were clearly ripped off of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
@DiggingForFacts3 ай бұрын
