What size is the card? I can see the measurements from the edged but what is the distance in the middle? Worried my shapes will be too close or too far apart so it won't look right. Thanks in advance.

the measurement isn't really important. Just experiment and it will work out!

The lengths are not important - the angles are what creates the shape - all the angles are clearly explained.

Hello do you have a mountain/volcano tutorial, same fold? And if its ok to ask, have you tried using fabric before instead of paper?

Tutorial 18. At 2.06 you can see a volcano shape - to make it follow the directions for the flower shape, but instead of putting the tabs that hold it to the page on the inside of the arc (see the scoring at 9.34) put them on the outside of the arc. Pop-up structures need to be made with a rigid material so fabric isn't ideal! I have seen pop-ups made with card and then fabric glued on as a surface decoration - there would also be situations where the basic lifting structure is made of card and some fabric could be added between fixed edges - it could be fun to experiment.
