I think it's hard to truly appreciate the calibre of the creation when we remove duration from the experience. However, I doubt that many people would have the patience to watch the whole process. I especially like how you capture the sheen of her skin and the texture of her hair.

some Q&A: 1) this drawing took at least 5 - 8 times more than regular charcoal (those takes several hours depends on complexity (strictly drawing, exclude planning) 2) it's soft pastel, blended mostly with my finger 3) typical drawing paper that you can find at any art store , fairly smooth.

I was just mind blown!!! This is just so incredible and beautiful. It`s like a photo!!! Very realistic-hyper realistic. A perfect portrait. You are a really talent! I`ll try these materials,soft pastels,for first time,because you inspired me and i`ll do something completely new for me[drawing with pastels],because i use mostly acrylics on my portraits and in special cases,such as landscapes,i use oil colors. I`m doing this more than 30 years,but you show me a different style and i have to thank you for that. Thanks a lot!!!!!

I worked and Trained under Dmitri Vail (World Famous Portrait Artist to the Stars and Dignitaries) and let me just tell you he would've loved your techniques. You're fantastic. I'm going to deeply study your videos. Do you possible sell any DVD's or Books? I truly appreciate your skill. Did Emmy commission this one. If not I'd try and sell it to her if I were you, she'd Love that. I moved his paintings to different exhibits in payment for lessons. I trained under several very famous Artist's. I knew him as Bob or sometimes called him David. He was nicknamed Dmitri and finally changed his name in the mid 80's. Man I'm so glad I was looking up Potrait art today. You made my year!

thanks for sharing Eddy, amazing background. I just kinda mixed and played around with pastel in any way i see fit. It's a fairly fluid process. Sorry I don't sell any dvds or books. If you see one of my latest video i try to teach my techniques basically for free and make it practically free for everyone.
