I watched this and loved it so much so I downloaded the video. Loved it that much more so I came back and watched here on youtube. The effect is still is the same everytime... my hands on my face with my mouth wide open in awe. Watching this portrait and the girl materialise from nothing creates such a still feeling and gosh... I feel so free. Well done Xiaonan, I think this is your best portrait. There is something really specal about this one.

What tools do you use? Also, is there a reason why you hold your pencil the way you do? Is it easier, a technique or is it what you prefer? I just stared drawing again after 7 years of not. I would like to make my drawings more realistic. Any tips? How long did it take you to draw this?
