I think beauty revealed from an old creek rock to the handwork to created to frame that beauty in silver is much like the music and songs written from the heart. Both are unique expressions hidden until revealed and yet known before the foundations of the world were framed. Lovely you are able to draw both from your heart :)

What a lovely pendant! I appreciate all the work and love that went into making it. Your beautiful work reminds me of a dear family friend who taught me the names of rocks when I just a toddler. How I wish I still had some of the lovely rocks he gave me and the necklace given to me as a teenager.

This was SO educational and interesting! Katie, you need to charge more for your jewelry! You do every single step involved. A lot of people buy the things already done for them, and they just assemble it. Not knocking them, of course they still design, but you do everything from A to Z. Love it! xo

Thanks Katie. Wow! Great work! Fine silver has a very wee bit of copper and pickle acid will bring it to the surface of the piece, sterling has even more copper. Try battery acid for pickling to avoid the surface copper but must rinse with baking soda note its not as fast acting as the swimming pool acid

Katie, I'm loving this video. I'm originally from Patrick County Va. and we have a lot of, what's called, Fairystone's there. I remember climbing to the old fire tower and finding rocks that would have weighed at least 80 to 150lbs that were full of Fairystones. That was many, many years ago. My wife and I are planning to go there sometime and see if we can find some in the creekbeds. If we do, maybe we could send them to ya. I doubt that I would send any that weigh 80 lbs. though. I think the UPS guy would appreciate that. lol Y'all have a wonderful week.

Oh my gosh! Fairystones! I grew up in WV and I remember buying little crosses that were called "Fairystones" in Harpers Ferry. They had a story about them that they were supposed to have been tears of the Angels, turned to stone... Do you know anything about this?
