When the hurricane first happened, the media told everyone to stay away. Since then, many towns have recovered. Please keep in mind that these businesses rely heavily on tourism and depend on customers to support them. They want to serve, they want to support their employees and their families. Please spread the word for people to find the towns that are open and please support the local businesses. Thank you!

Babies are such a blessing. My 1st grandson was born October 20th. He weighed 7lbs 11 oz and was 20 and 1/2 inches long. His name is Oliver Anthony. I have 2 granddaughters (2nd grade and 3rd grade), so a new baby is sure a joy. We are so very blessed. Praying for all affected by the storms. I live in Northeast Georgia and it passed over us, thank the Lord.

First of all, welcome back. I've missed y'all. I'm glad to hear you say that about not taking more stuff. I was thinking of getting some more stuff to take up there. Just called the Peachtree Produce stand and he said that they probably won't be taking anything else for 3-4 more weeks. Corie, I saw video of that Bible on the fence post. It was very interesting that it was there and open to that particular passage.

My daughter discovered with her second baby that eating oatmeal helps increase her milk production for nursing. She’d often eat a bowl of oatmeal as mid morning or afternoon snack. Add nuts, raisins, peanut butter, honey, be sure to use plain oats

Here in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, it's a cool rainy 55-degree. Leaves are full color and fulling fast. Old man winter is coming soon. But who knows, the weather is so unpredictable here we just never know. I've got a new battery for my explorer. Just had oil changed. Ready for winter, well, vehicle is anyway. Me not so much, lol. Ready, or it's coming here, I'm hanging on for the ride. Thanks, ladies, for taking your time and sharing your thoughts and prayers with us it's always a blessing take care from up North.

Saw a live from Caney Creek Church. They are using their garage for overflow items so that when donations slow down, they will be able to meet future needs. They have 50 electrical teams using their parking lot as a command center and their fellowship hall as sleeping quarters for those crewmen. They have paused all work on their Sunday School rooms for the greater good to support these crews trying to work for the community. It would be great if others less impacted in the area could check with this pastor on the needs of these electrical workers as well as helping this church that has put their recovery on hold for the good of their community. Also please let the pastor know he may be able to save that nice smelly but clean refrigerator by putting regular charcoal on trays in frig and closing the door. Change charcoal every 3-4 days. I have saved a couple of refrigerators in rental houses doing this. God bless Appalachia and all its people as well as many who have come for disaster relief. 🙏🏼🙏🏼✝️❤️

As a reminder, I have crocheted a very simple bracelet (variegated blue and a brown) that reminds me of the mountain ranges. I wear this and every time I see it, I am reminded to pray for western NC. Ive made and shared to anyone that would want one. Maybe one of y’all could make a tutorial video on how to make them. Love your videos. God is good!

It's so funny that I just sat and watched y'all eat lunch. Earlier this evening, after my husband and I finished our supper, I took the leftovers out to my Mama and Aunt. I stayed out there for awhile, and my husband called to see what I was doing. I told him, I'm watching them eat!! 😂 What can I say, I'm a simple girl, and it don't take much to entertain me!! And Katie, I don't know if you've tried oat flour for your baking, but it works well, and has a really good flavor for cookies.

I think God leaves us things(likethe Peace Like A River) as a reminder or gift for those who made it thru. My neice's house burned 2 years ago (a grill exploded) and they found some things like that that were untouched by the fire. God was so amazing to remind us of good times and his power to protect us at all times. What a wonderful God He is! Much love to y'all! Jane ♥️🙏

Breastfed babies lol want the milk every two hours. When your child reaches 6 months start introducing vegetables. It works they sleep longer especially at night. Not all night but longer. I made my own baby food from garden or organic vegetables. First time Moms is a new awesome experience, but it is tiring. My Mom told me when the baby sleeps you sleep. It will keep you going.
