You mean the first phase was punching the old man with a rusty sword and the second phase was confronting him about major insecurity issues.

The first phase would have very little HP and his only attacks would do no damage (as long you had sufficient armor...) And then the 2nd phase would change the entire style of the game (like an RPG to a Vertical Danmaku Shooter transition) to throw you off by making a new feature you didn't prepare for

First phase: fight against the army pouring in. Rows in the backdrop empty as they form up to attack en mass. Last row is slain and enter- Second phase: Buff Old Guy shows you why he's king in a one on one swordfight for the ages. Third phase: He becomes the lion in his dying breath and brings destruction in his wake to make you pay for his ruined kingdom.

Thats exactly what i Loved the most after completing some bone-hard RPG on my S-NES, the Epic Boss Fight music at the end .... I heared hundrets of them, and all gave me shivers. Miss the old days of videogaming :-/

@@hitbox7422 Well, they actually can. You can hook up any controller you want. There are plöenty of SNES USB or wireless Controllers. The only feeling the emulators can't replace is the one of inserting a cardridge. Well, not without some effort.

This is from a FM synthesizer. Still chiptune, but not from a programmable sound generator like you would expect from an 8-bit game. Really good. I think FM synthesis is the sweet spot and needs more music.

First phase the big red guys, second phase. The big red guys get resurected by the mages at the back and buffed as super zombies. third phase the old man consumes the mages power after they fail. becoming a superhuman with the players attacks but better. Last phase fusing with the lion thing and becoming god and everything turns fleshy and organic for some reason., because games in that style liked doing that
