Oh absolutely, it's really awesome! I bought the core rulebook at a game store and it's the only book out right now for 2nd Edition, but you could also get 1st Edition stuff if you're interested in the lore.

Random question: I thought for the longest time that Changelings are actually true faes who got stuck in out world and made themselves human..is that not so?

That would be Changeling: the Dreaming which is set in the World of Darkness. Changeling: the Lost, which is what this video is about, is in the Chronicles of Darkness, previously known as new World of Darkness. Hope that helps clear it up!

@@ThePrimogen thanks mate, I realized this after a trip to the wiki, I can't completely decide which version of Changeling I prefer, the Lost version though has some really reallyyyyyyyy great RP material and room for incredible character growth, as always the video kicks ass and I'm waiting for the next Mage video to premiere side note: do u ever plan on tackling the other versions of the supernatural races?? i.e the Changelings from WoD and Mage from CoD?

Thanks for asking! At the moment, I'm focusing most of my time on classic World of Darkness as I feel most at home in this setting, but I will eventually get back to Changeling! I do run a weekly Changeling: the Lost game on the Onyx Path Twitch which you can find here on my channel as well.

I was going through Changeling the lost 2e and I found that some contracts (also bedlam) uses an opposed roll for the target. The opposed rolls use wyrd and other skill to create dicepool, but common mortals don't have wyrd rating right? So during contested action while using contract does it use the wyrd rating of the player character for determining the dicepool of the target?

I know this is an old comment, but I just introduced Changelings into my Vampire Requiem 2nd edition game and have have been reading though the book the past couple days. Then I seen this comment, maybe it'll help someone else that had the same question... Wyrd is a supernatural resistance. Mortals (other than Mages) don't have a supernatural resistance. Vampires would get their dots in Blood Potency, Werewolves Primal Urge, Gnosis for Mages, ect. So a Mortal's "Wyrd" rating or Supernatural tolerance would be 0. They'd usually get their Composure dots at least though. The resistance roll against Bedlam is definitely Composure + (Supernatural Tolerance /or/ 0 for non-Mage Mortals).

I have a question to ask about kiths and seemings in the different the editions. 1st edition simply had categories and subcategories, while the 2nd was more open to customization. Which one do you prefer? I kinda prefer the 1st, since while the 2nd is more varied, it’s also hell on my OCD.

Hi! Gosh, I'm so sorry for taking so long to reply to this. It disappeared in my comments. Right, so I actually have to say that I enjoy 1st edition a bit more over 2nd edition. 2nd left the playing field very free and flexible, but honestly I felt that made it also a bit less inspiring in terms of character creation, if that makes sense? 2nd Edition added Huntsmen though, which I thought was a great addition. I'd love to learn more about Oneiromancy as well, it's a field that could definitely do with another sourcebook.

Hi! Thank you for the question! Unfortunately Geist will take a while before I cover it. Currently I'm focusing on Vampire and Werewolf of Old World of Darkness, the Changeling videos were in preparation for my weekly stream over at The Onyx Path.
