Burton didn’t have a clue about Batman, the first Batman film was a huge success didn’t have anything to with burton. When he was given total 100 per cent control he ended up making the dreadful Batman returns. Joel Schumacher knew more about Batman then clueless overrated burton.

It's fine to not like the film, but to then say that the director of said film shouldn't receive any credit for its success makes no sense.

Agreed. Warner Bros and Producers Jon Peters / Peter Guber had some form of control over Burton. He was given cart blanche on Batman Returns. I also found it dreadful.
