I did this to my new pc I built back in 2020 and I tell you that was the hardest part. Putting everything else together was easy. Also takes up so much space inside the case. My case Lian has an area that houses all the cables and its so packed its going to be super hard to replace my power supply eventually. I'm running 10 fans though.

Corsair REALLY needs to come up with a way to daisy chain their fans together as Lian Li did.. My first build has 10 QL fans, definitely am overwhelmed with the amount of cables I’ve got to try and manage! Along with Lian Li Stimers, luckily I got a 011 XL case but it’s still hard, my last hurdle today is figuring out how I can connect the triple 8 pin Strimer cable through the bottom as there’s no room! Gonna have to move some things around to make it work

@@PerryDaPlatapus it’s actually really simple, I’m surprised it’s taken this long for someone to do it.. Honestly, you’ll still need the hubs! By the way CPU’s are going, we’re going to need 9 fans minimum in every build!

I was having trouble with my Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB case fans. I had plugged everything in and booted, they lit up to their default rainbow but then shut off and were undetectable by iCUE. The solution was to unplug them, boot the PC to iCUE, then hot plug the SATA power connector, then hot plug the USB connector. iCUE then recognized everything. Amazing video and your camera work is great. As well as your voice.

I've been running them without the RGBs for several months now because I couldn't figure out what to do with the hub. Then I finally googled it cause I want the RGB that I paid for. Much appreciated! I'm currently running 13 fans in my 5000D, 6 QL connected to a commander core xt (front and side), 3 LL & 3 ML around the h150 capellix's commander core (push pull), 1 LL exhaust, 6 light strips (lighting node pro + rgb hub). Cable managment is quite fun, but has been put on hold as I plan on replacing the LL push rad fans with QL fans. The cool thing about having the ML fans on top (pull) is the RGB lighting coming through the Corsair triangle cutouts of the top panel reflect on the wall, surprisingly nice little touch for now. Bloody hell this looks like a god damn nightmare. I feel substantially more confused. The only thing this video helped me with is knowing to buy a case with nearly all of it's fans preinstalled, which was the case with the Lian Li cases I purchased last year. All I had to do was install the radiator fans up top with was only 2 or 3 cords. But this video definitely helped me knowing what I want to avoid. I was literally minutes away from ordering 3 dozen Corsair cases that did not have fans included for our new offices. And I was searching for buying Corsair fan packs in bulk to install them all. I am going to be taking extra time tonight to find a different company. Mate you helped me dodge a massive bullet, I cannot thank you enough, big thumbs up, cheers!!!!!!

Thank you for clearing this up. FYI 11 fans are a hassle...... get a big case guys, you will save urself alot of headaches....but the case you have at the beginning is the exact case I have right now besides the 4 fans at the front, I have 3 140's instead of 4 120's. Not sure why this is hard for some people. If you buy the commander core or the XT, each can take 6 fans w/RGB. I don't use those tiny splitters that corsair gives you and I only use Corsair fans with the commander core/XT for maximum compatibility. Also, you can customize the RGB so it does not matter what channel (1-6) that you plug it into.

It happened to me but my adapter cord melted, I may have put too many fans into it......"not a corsair adapter"

Did you ever figure out what happened? I’m currently dealing with the same situation

Did you try to access the ICUE? Go to the lighting setup and run the wizard, auto detect for compatible fans this was able to get my 3rd 140 mm powered on and lighting up

Great video. One question. I have the Corsair 7000X case with the Commander Pro XT and the Corsair H170 with another Commander. Should I daisy chain to one single USB 2 Header or use Two USB headers? Also do I still need to plug in the PWM cable from my 7000X to the motherboard or is it not needed. Thank you.

If all the fans are connected to the Commanders then you won't need to worry about the PWM controller. I would use two USB headers though, there's usually less problems there

Corsair fans are nice, but if you are new to pc building and want a smooth and easy first experience, I would highly recommend Lian Li fans.

so as long as you have enough usb header support, you can just keep adding Commander Cores, plug the fans in and good to go?

Please help! I have 12 fans on my computer, and I want to replace the existing fans with 9 LL120 and 3 LL140. In order to connect all these things, I must have(preferably) two Commander cores?I'm going to buy 3 packs of LL120 and 1 pack of LL140,they will all come with Lightning node pro. So, with commander core it's not needed to use Lightning node, right?

I was wondering, would these fans sync with other aRGB fans like the ones pre-installed in the phanteks g360a? If I was looking to change the aRGB via the front IO of the case, then would I connect them by the same RGB header? Daisy chaining?

can i use the hub with other fans? (not corsair ones)
@metrovalleyeats Жыл бұрын
Wait so if I have 3 fans that come with my antec case and a 3 Corsair fan pack, can I use the hub for all of them?? That would be so convenient 😭. I’m starting my first Pc build on Wednesday and I’m nervous!

Great video! However I've ran into an issue. I've followed your video by connecting 6 fans and RGB's to the Commander Core. The 7th fan I have in my motherboard PWM header and the RGB connected to the Corsair RGB hub. For some reason I'm unable to detect the 7th RGB in iCue. The fan and RGB are working, but I'm unable to control the RGB function. Any advice?

i just bought a new pc with separate 9 RGB fans .. so i need two Fan Hub to accommodate the required power cable and RGB cable so its 18 cables .. i bought one arctic hub since it has 10 hosts with 4-pins .. do i need to buy another one or the remaining cables i just plug them directly to Mobo ?
