Hey Kyle, great video, thanks for all the help. A concern though, from what I remember in PT school, S3 and S4 are abnormal heart sounds, as are "cooing" sounds and pericardial friction rub; had I not known about S3 heart sound being considered "normal" in certain populations, I would initially think all options are conditions I should be concerned about. I guess I am a little lost about the lack of knowledge gap here, never learned that S3 could be normal. Thanks for the info!

its only normal in certain circumstances, on the average joe it is an abnormal heart sound, but just as a resting HR of 50bpm is abnormal to the average person, athletes and kids are a different story. so yes S3 is abnormal , but it can also be safe and abnormal, because based on the population its normal.
