I honestly think if youre a Halloween lover, you need at LEAST 2 nights! That way you can take it all in! If youre not used to large theme park halloweens, it can be VERY overwhelming.

I love the tip about getting hyped. As the resident horror expert in my HHN group, I schedule movie nights, get the group up to date about franchise lore, etc. As of 2021, I've also started making an annual hype playlist with music that relates to the year's theme, houses, scare zones, and general vibe (Monster Mash is a must, of course!). I send it out before the event and we also listen to it when we're getting ready in our hotel room

Something that helped me get hyped up for the originals and scarezones, at least last year, was Universal Creative did a podcast that served as a prequel to the originals. It absolutely gave so much life to the houses and made Dead Man’s Pier even better than it already was. Really, really hope they do that again this year

This will be my 20th HHN and my hubby's 30th year! These tips are spot on! These are all what we tell first timers. Bring cheap ponchos! If it rains, you won't be slowed down or have to dish out $$ for theme park ponchos. We have been in ankle high puddles at HHN and were able to keep going with the rest of our bodies staying dry. We did detailed plans (including bathroom breaks and food/drink stops) when we brought a big group of family going for the first time and we completely maximized the night and managed to do absolutely everything in one night! They basically got an RIP Tour from us....haha! 🎃👻💀

@@ThePughTwo Yah it does. I really don't like parks that are oversold. I haven't gone back to HHN since 2007. Last time i was there, it was a sold out night and it was absolutely miserable. Worst experience ever. Only saw 2 houses. Stood in lines all night. Couldn't get food, etc. I love halloween, but swore i'd never go back.

It is virtually impossible to get it all done on a weekend without it, and even with it, you need more than one night if you want to include all of the shows and scare zones. Your members only group on Facebook has been a godsend for my HHN trip ! Everybody is so knowledgeable about hotel refunds, and re-bookings, ticket pick up options, and just general chitchat. So glad you mentioned checking back on hotel rates, it ended up saving me so much money well over $300, and I get to stay at a nicer resort ! They’ll put up barriers in a few different areas in the parks and that’s where you’ll wait! There’s usually a stay and scream area in NY and one close to Simpson’s. There will be team members that scan your HHN pass to get into the blocked off area!

this is going to be the first time the 4 of us are going to hhn, we got it for oct 29 and oct 31. , any suggestions on how to get to the park, uber? we have a rental car,,,,drive? we will be at a hotel 10 minutes driving time away oct 29 but not sure which would be easier. So this is my third year and I'm so excited. Last year I splurged and bought the frequent pass and we went for three nights, it was amazing. However, very expensive. I have a pass with my season pass. That didn't count, so I had to out right buy the pass, so having one was a waste. Plus, I will never go without express passes. I really, really want that pass again this year, but I don't see us being able to afford it. It has went up so much. And I can bet that even with express we can't do them all and do Stranger Things again in one night. Oh well, I still just can't wait.

First off love the Halloween decor. I check the hotels daily and so far I've saved us 200 dollars total. I made a list of movies that are related to all the rides and the IPs as they come, to help get us in the mood. Also if u wanna see a yeti stylish movie it's Snowbeast 1977 it's very much a 70s horror movie , u never see the beast but u hear the noise and see things from its points of view (also I havent seen it in like 20 years so I'm not 100% on if u see the beast or not but it's something that is different and cheesy)

That’s right!! You’ll just use your pass to get into the parks, and then they’ll scan your AP at the entrance of stay and scream for your one free ticket. We haven’t heard anything about CB, but we’d be surprised if they didn’t have their little celebration again this year!

(I'm thinking 8:30 since you could get in line for 1 really popular house during the stay and scream and then go into 1 or two smaller, less popular houses before the lines get really long. Soooooo a few thoughts. The 8:30 RIP tour you’d be doing basically everything in the dark which is fun, but you get express for after the RIP tour so you’d have more time with express if you did the earlier one. I don’t think you can go wrong either way, but something to think about!

So any of the rides that you can take your stuff on, you’ll be good with it! They’ll make you take it off for Gringotts and MIB as well as the coasters.

IMPORTANT QUESTION 2024 will be my first HHN and it looks like they just started selling single night tickets, HHN express passes and hotel bundles but I don’t see any multi night HHN tickets or scream early tickets. Do they usually make multi night tickets available later, or is it possible they won’t have it this year? My family and I are going the last week of September and want to do 2 HHN nights. If I wait to see if they sell multi night, how long is it ok for me to wait to get tickets so they don’t sell out? Please and thank you to any pros with advice❤

In years past, the multi night tickets have gone on sale at a later date. They’re not guaranteed, but what you can do is go ahead and buy single night tickets and then upgrade to multi night if they become available!

If you're too much of a wuss and aren't going to HHN, what is the park like on those days? If the park closes at 5, what time do you have to actually keep doing stuff/getting in lines? Like 4 or 4:30?

They start escorting daytime guests out at 5, so you can enjoy the park right up until then, but our suggestion would be do to universal studios in the morning and then head to islands of adventure in the afternoon so you don’t even have to worry about it!

I can't wait to go Oct. 18. On the internet it says Wed. is a slower day of the week so I hope so as I've never been before and I have an express pass. I was there for regular Universal in Oct. last year and It was kind of chilly and I get cold kind of easily. I only had on shorts and a hoodie.

My boyfriend and I are flying from Canada for our 5th year anniversary and I know you mentioned buying tickets earlier, but I’m worried about rain( i Google searched says October is rainy season lol) Can you tell me What happens if one of the days it’s extremely rainy? Do they do refunds or do they even close the parks? Idk I haven’t gone to Orlando since 2008 😂 love the video btw! 💗

The only reason they’d close the parks/event is if there was a hurricane, but we usually know about those well in advance! We wouldn’t worry much about rain! It storms almost every afternoon in FL, but not for long!

Coming from Illinois and plan on 3 park nights. Got a Frequent Fear with express because it was cheaper than 3 individual nights with express. And you’re right, planning is everything! And tip: if you order HHN shirts ahead of time it’ll save space in your luggage

I have a question in regards to the Stay n Scream Ticket. In case I dont buy a park ticket that day, but im going to the event, can I still enter the park beforehand or is it required to buy a park ticket for the stay n scream?

That’s what the scream early ticket is for. It gets you Into the park from 3-5 so you can get into stay and scream without paying $100+ for a one day ticket.

Just remember they’re actors! HHN isn’t as bad, in our opinion, as a traditional haunted house because the actors don’t single in on people and terrorize them lol we hope you have an amazing time at the event!!

Oh that’s a great question lol. I know some nights they event closes an hour or two earlier, but I don’t remember the pattern exactly. I wanna say weekdays in September it closes earlier, but don’t quote me on that!
